I’m a senior manager at DataDirect Network. We provide high-performance data storage for organizations that have high-performance workflows.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Mediafly?

We wanted to develop a software to give our customers an opportunity to explore potential cost savings and value out of our solution.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We started the engagement with a discovery call, wherein we discussed our concept for the solution and the functionality that we wanted. After that, they began the software’s development. We had two more meetings to review their progress before they delivered the final version. They led a few QA testings to ensure that the solution was working properly, and then we finally launched it.

We actually just kicked off another similar project with them just a couple of weeks ago, so our engagement is ongoing.

What is the team composition?

We’ve worked with three people from Mediafly, including a project coordinator and a principal analyst. 

How did you come to work with Mediafly?

Mediafly was introduced to us by one of our technology partners.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent somewhere around $60,000-$80,000 so far.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in October 2021, and the engagement is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We did a big display campaign for the software, and we saw thousands of page visitors that came to use it. I'm actually getting ready to launch another big project just based on that tool.

How did Mediafly perform from a project management standpoint?

Mediafly has performed well in terms of project management. We pushed them really hard because we were trying to launch this tool in time for the event that we were planning on doing. It was a tight window for them to turn the solution around and get everything done, but they did it.

We primarily communicated through email and Zoom calls.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Mediafly’s ability to quickly understand our concept and where we wanted to go with the solution stands out. They’ve also been incredibly efficient in implementing changes and feedback throughout, which I really appreciated.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Make sure that you have a clear vision for your project and that you are able to effectively communicate what that is. If you don’t have a clear vision of what you want, they’re really great at bringing innovative ideas to the table. So wherever you sit, I’m confident that they would be able to help you.
