I’m the president and CEO of Blackwood Hospitality, a restaurant consulting firm.

What challenge were you trying to address with Media Maison?

We needed help with PR and marketing services for our clients.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Media Maison does PR, branding, and website development for our clients — we’ve done 15 projects together. For the branding portion of the project, they do logos, website deployment with a menu layout, and fonts. Through their work, they’ve also gotten us on TV shows like The Today Show, where we cooked dishes with a chef, among other activations.

What is the team composition?

We’ve been working with around five members of their team, including Sam (CEO).

How did you come to work with Media Maison?

A partner referred them to us, and after interviewing three other companies, we chose Media Maison because they seemed like the best option.

How much money have you invested in this partnership?

So far, we’ve spent $200,000–$1 million with them.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in June 2003, and the engagement is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Thanks to their work, our restaurant openings have received a lot of visitors due to the good articles they get us and because they put us on TV. Overall, they always deliver great work; I love their tagline, how they think outside the box, and how great they are at taking one story and splitting it into five.

How did Media Maison perform from a project management standpoint?

They meet deadlines and stay on budget. Regarding tools, we use Pinterest boards to share ideas and phone calls, emails, Zoom, and Facetime to communicate.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Sam is what distinguishes them from other providers because she has a lot of contacts in different industries.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t think there’s anything they could improve on.
