Pat McGuirk established McGuirk Steelworks in 1983 initially for the production of light steel products, fabricated products and to carry out general steel repairs. Since then the business has gone from strength to strength with the development of more advanced and sophisticated steel products and the introduction of advanced manufacturing technology. We now supply products to both the building industry and the public lighting sector.

McGuirk Steelworks became an approved manufacturer of Public Lighting products in Ireland after a niche in the market was found and within two years we were supplying public lighting equipment to local authorities and ESB depots countrywide.

McGuirks Steel Works now offer to local authorities and contractors a system of testing and inspection of existing public lighting columns to determine corrosion or deterioration of columns with a simple cost effective and efficient ULTRASONIC testing program. With this system in place it provides a practical and responsible maintenance program.
