Maxlab is a hardware development company that designs electronics, writes firmware and takes connected devices through certification and into manufacturing. We work with product companies across the US and Canada, remotely, and have been in business since 2020.
We're a team of five engineers. The three founders still run the company and do the engineering. We design boards in KiCad and Altium, write firmware in C, C++ and Rust, and build most often on the ESP32 family and NXP i.MX-class processors, including embedded Linux with Yocto.

• Embedded firmware and embedded Linux
• IoT connectivity: Wi-Fi, BLE, LTE-M, LoRa
• Edge AI and camera devices
• Prototyping, certification support and handoff to manufacturing
Our clients work in manufacturing, agriculture, robotics, logistics, recycling and wildlife monitoring. Our own product, the Tokay Lite AI camera board, is sold through Mouser.
