BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

I am the principal of a consulting firm specializing in advisory and training services for the data center industry.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire max | Human Experience Design, and what were your goals?

Our website was very dated and was showing its vintage. The brand was nor very well represented. Additionally, we were having difficulties with the email services from our hosting provider.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We had worked with Max several times in the past on a number of different projects. Max had previously delivered very technical solutions for us, and also demonstrated a good understanding of our business. Because our experiences with Max had always been positive, it was natural that we would reach out to him for this work.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

The task at hand was to decommission the IT services remaining at our old hosting provider, and reinstate them at our new host. This involved recommendation of a new web site design using Wordpress, creation of the new site, and migration of all company email accounts.

Max conducted a demonstration for candidate web site designs from which we selected one. Max then built the new Wordpress site and loaded it with all the content that we supplied to him. After testing and minor adjustments, we launched the site live online.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

Max was our main point of contact. He gathered the requirements, created the project plan, and managed the full execution.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The website is a marked improvement over our prior online presence. It represents a contemporary look and feel, and is easier to manage by ourselves.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

Each step of the project was clearly reported through email, and web meetings were conducted as necessary. Overall, there was very little overhead necessary because the project ran very smoothly.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

We've worked with Max a number of times over the past years. He has always over-delivered and delivered quickly. I know that I can trust him to listen to what I need, and to deliver a solution as if it's his own.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

No changes suggested. Everything ran smoothly.
