While Maplewood did provide some pieces of marketing to be used, they had committed to increasing sales of my book online. The contract states 'Aim to sell: 500 book sales'...they sold none. Also, they committed to 'We'll actively promote your book to select independent bookstores and retailers across the u.S., including...' and it listed 5 bookstores that they had a 'working relationship' with. They never place a single book in a physical bookstore.

The contract states 'The Author retains the right to 100% refund on dissatisfaction.' I have repeatedly sought a refund of the $1,650 I paid them since September 2025, but they keep telling me it is 'on the way' and never issue it.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

No books were sold whatsoever. They did not fulfill the contract whatsoever. No measurable outcomes from the project.

They did NOT deliver items on time, or at all. They kept switching me to different people, who also did not satisfy the requirements of the contract.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I would recommend that no one use this company. They have proven themselves to be unethical, untrustworthy, and disreputable.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Maplewood Publications could have done differently?

Maplewood should have placed my books in the physical bookstores as they committed to do, the proceeds of those sales intended to payback a portion of my investment with them. When they refused to follow through with what they had commited to in the contract they should have issued me the refund I have been asking for months and months now.
