BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I was the director of marketing and communications for a dental implant company. I was in charge of corporate communications, PR, advertising, content, and branding.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Mangos Agency?

We were undergoing a big innovation shift at the company. We had several new solutions coming out, and so we thought it was a good opportunity to do a brand refresh as well.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They acted as an extension of our marketing and communications team. We did a full onboarding process where they had the opportunity to meet with various people at the company, including the CEO. They also visited different sites to see our work in action. 

They created marketing and branding collateral for us, and they helped us update our brand communications. 

What is the team composition?

We worked with a core group of 3–4 people. There were additional teammates that helped with specific tasks. 

How did you come to work with Mangos Agency?

We hired an agency that helped us find a company for the project. They sent out RFQs to over 60 companies around the world. We had the best chemistry with Mangos Agency. Their presentation was spot one, and we had a great discussion the first time we met. 

How much have you invested with them?

We invested about $400,000. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in September 2017, and we wrapped up this project at the end of 2018. 

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We were really pleased with the direction they laid out and their overall approach. The quality of their graphics and writing was also great. I don’t have exact numbers, but we did a survey of our customers at the beginning of the process to see how that changes a few years down the line. 

How did Mangos Agency perform from a project management standpoint?

The project management style was very enlightening and motivating. They provided regular updates on their progress and plans. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

They felt like part of our team. The culture and environment that Mangos Agency has created are very welcoming. You can bounce ideas off of them and get meaningful feedback. 

Are there any areas they could improve? 

Sometimes the pricing was a bit high. We went back and forth a bit about cost, but they were very transparent about why things cost a certain amount. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers? 

Be open and give them a good brief. Transparent communication is also important.
