BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

I’m an Irish visual artist based in Amsterdam. I specialise in Printmaking, I make screen prints and etchings to sell and exhibit.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire Mana Mana?

I wanted a website to showcase my portfolio as well as set up a shop to sell my prints. Creating art has always been my passion but I’ve really struggled with the professional side of things. I wanted a clean website, my work is very bright and colourful so I knew I wanted a lot of room for the work to breath but wasn’t at all sure how I wanted it to look.

Oonagh was incredibly patient with me and we made lots of drafts together. She was always so quick to answer my emails and help explain what would and wouldn’t work. Essentially Oonagh came up with a website that suited me and my work and I couldn’t have managed it myself. I’ve honestly felt so comfortable with Oonagh as my website guru and couldn’t recommend her enough.

I felt she had no judgement with my lack of - knowing exactly what I wanted - She took great initiative in sorting it out for me and I’m over the moon with my new website!!!

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I heard about Mana Mana through word of mouth- a friend of a friend has hired them for some branding and the work was amazing. The deciding factor for me was the communication, Oonagh has a professionalism about her but is also very calm and down to earth, she really put me at ease and came across as very knowledgeable when it came to website design and branding.

Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.

The project- my website: We discussed what I was looking for, my design inspiration and discuss the vital functions for it’s purpose Oonagh created concepts based off our in-depth chat and questionnaires. We then tweaked concepts together until I was happy with it.

After that Oonagh spent time building it and doing all those impossible things that I don’t like to think to much about. Finally we evaluated the site and made more tweaks to all responsive designs Finally we were both 100% happy with the website and I launched it!!!

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

Oonagh, the owner, is the only member of Mana Mana so I happily dealt with her the whole way through! Such a pleasant experience!

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The site achieved exactly what I hoped it would. A gallery has since approached me, asking me to display some of my artwork that is showcased on the website created by Mana Mana. I’ve also managed to sell more works due to the shop feature on the website.

The portfolio feature has also made it so much easier for applying for freelance work. It’s amazing what it’s done to help me with work and with applying for exhibitions etc.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

I felt even when we were changing ideas and brainstorming together everything we did was useful towards the end product.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The communication, the understanding and patience. the quick ideas, the attention to detail, and the all round can do attitude! Oona is a perfectionist and you can really see this in the way she works.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Honestly no! As I’ve said before I was so lost when it came to creating a website and Oonagh brain stormed and completely made the experience stress free. She created a vision and mood boards and completely wowed me. I’m looking to develop my business and my artwork and when I need to progress with my website or branding I know I’ll be coming back to Mana Mana.
