Malkin Management & Investment Company, Inc. has been in the real estate business since 1958, operating first as a division of Olswanger & Michel, Inc. Realtors and then forming its own Management Entity in 1972, the Olswanger & Michel Rental Agency, Inc. The name changed to Malkin Management & Investment Company, Inc. (MMIC, Inc.) when Arthur S. Malkin acquired the company in 1996. In 2000, MMIC, Inc. took over all accounts for Messinger Realty Company – a commercial real estate firm in business since 1966 – when its principals retired. MMIC, Inc. manages all types of real estate with a current focus on commercial properties such as small office and retail strip centers.

Malkin Management and Investment Company, Inc. holds real estate licenses in both Tennessee and Mississippi. It is a member of the National Association of Realtors and the Memphis Area Association of Realtors and the Multiple Listing Service (MLS). Arthur S. Malkin, Principal Broker and President of the firm, is a candidate for the CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member) designation. He is an elected board member on the Memphis Area Association of Realtors Commercial Council. He has been in the real estate business since 1989 and with the company since 1994. Senior Vice President Janet Slawson, CPM, ARM, has been a property manager with the firm since 1983. She has earned national designations from the Institute of Real Estate Management as both an Accredited Residential Manager and a Certified Property Manager. She is the immediate past president of the local chapter for the Institute of Real Estate Management. Arthur B. “Tim” Malkin, Jr., is Vice President of development and investment projects. He has been investing in real estate since the 1960’s and has been a licensed real estate broker since 1987.
