The quality of medical image datasets (CT, MRT, ultrasound) has steadily increased in recent years due to various technical advances. Extensive image data is recorded for complex interventions on organs as well as for examining, among other things, torn ligaments or broken bones. The further use of these data sets, in addition to the diagnosis or virtual operation preparation, is the new approach to the solution. With the help of various methods, it is possible to model almost every anatomical area of the human body 1:1. For this purpose, 3D printing technology is used, with which the production of complex structures in particular is possible with a precision of a tenth of a millimetre.
