Introduce your business and what you do there.

I am the VP of operations at John Vince Foods, a family-owned and run food packager and distributor specializing in dried fruits, confectionery, snack foods, and nuts in the Canadian and US markets. We have several private labels as well as our own.

What challenge were you trying to address with Linda Martin Results?

Eight of my teammates had worked with Linda Martin Results before and we wanted to continue improving their leadership skills. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Eight of my teammates worked with Linda Martin Results as part of our Elite Eight program. The program focused on improving communication skills, especially when it came to presentations and working in groups. 

What is the team composition?

We worked with Linda (Leadership Team Development Coach) and one other teammate. 

How did you come to work with Linda Martin Results?

I worked with Linda 13 years ago at a previous job and stayed in touch with her. When she began offering training programs, I began to work with her. We’ve done several training programs with Linda Martin Results. 

How much have you invested with them?

We paid around $50,000 CAD (approximately $39,000 USD) for this program with Linda Martin Results. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We’ve been partners with Linda Martin Results since December 2015, and this specific program was from February–July 2021. 

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Of the eight staff members who were part of the training program, three will be promoted within the next year. Others who were a part of the program are helping build better teams around themselves, which will lead to promotions within the next few years. 

How did Linda Martin Results perform from a project management standpoint?

I communicated with Linda through scheduled face-to-face meetings throughout the training. We had one before the program began, one during, and one right before the program finished. Linda also sent emails and called me when she needed to connect about the team’s progress.  

What did you find most impressive about them?

The most important thing that Linda brings to the table is her skill in connecting with our staff. She encourages self-motivation in my staff to ensure they complete the program. Additionally, Linda and her team know the material well and are excellent at customizing it to each company. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

Honestly, I think Linda should begin looking into an app-based system to tap into the more technologically advanced workforce. Many trainings that aren’t done in person could be done on an app. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Customers who want to work with Linda Martin Results need to let them know their goals for the training. Customers need to be clear on what they want to attain from the program so Linda can customize the program to get the best results possible.

Please describe your company and your position there.

PeopleToGo is a national technology service provider company with two business practices: IT staffing and technology services. I am the VP of Sales & Managing Partner.

For what projects/services did your company hire Linda Martin Results?

We had a change in ownership in March 2020 which I was part of and my partners and I completely re-engineered our culture placing significant focus on helping every employee make a more measurable contribution to the growth and success of our company. significantly.

As part of this process, we implemented a process of continuous improvement and professional development to help people grow and elevate if they so desired. Focusing on our youthful leadership team, all of whom are showing solid potential, we engaged Linda to help train our people to shift their mindsets to be results-oriented, but in a structured way.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We spoke with a few Training companies, but after meeting with Linda, her methodology, expertise, and understanding of our challenge and what the desired outcome was was second-to-no, so we chose to work with her.

Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.

Our training was based on Napolean's Hill book, Think and Grow Rich. Using a workbook, each chapter was broken into a separate weekly working session internally with our staff and every other week with Linda. The level of collaboration engagement within the internal sessions was incredible and we worked through the exercises efficiently and effectively. Linda's training helped connect all the different learnings to help create the paradigm shift in mentality we were looking for.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

Linda was our main contact and Facilitator and she was supported by Brigitte, whose role was more administrative. Together, they did a fantastic job delivering the training, setting and managing expectations, and helping us maximize our learning experience.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Our leadership is more forward-thinking and goal-oriented than before. They're defining clear measurable objectives and building solid plans to achieve them. Moreover, the Leadership Team is working together more cohesively than ever before. Our goal from Linda's training was to be certified as a Great Place to Work, a recognition we achieved within months of completing the training, which is a massive accomplishment for us.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The workflow and communication were excellent from start to finish.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The positive energy and reinforcement they provided every session were incredibly helpful in keeping people focused. They maximized the potential of the training.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

None that I can think of. Overall, every employee that took the training was thrilled with Linda and the results we achieved.
