I’m a manager for a software development company. We develop streaming platforms for various companies in North America.

We needed to augment our internal development team.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We provided a job description to Lighthouse growth, and they identified a bilingual software developer with Android and iOS development skills and experience building streaming platforms. The developer helped us build a streaming platform for Android tablets, iPads, and Smart TVs. They also ensured the platform was accessible via mobile devices for iOS and Android. We used Kotlin, JavaScript, and React Native to complete the project.

We worked with one developer. 

What is the status of this engagement?

Our engagement lasted from February–November 2022.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We viewed the engagement as a success because Lighthouse growth identified the right resource within a short period of time. They supplied us with a developer who executed the requirements.

How did Lighthouse growth perform from a project management standpoint?

My team managed the project using Jira. We also communicated with the developer via email and phone. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

I was most impressed by Lighthouse growth’s ability to find qualified candidates quickly.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Lighthouse growth’s rate was expensive compared to other offshore development companies.

I am the founder and CEO of InVision Source, which provides IT solutions for minority- and women-owned SMEs.

What challenge were you trying to address with Lighthouse growth?

I wanted to add more IT development engineers to my customer’s projects.

What was the scope of their involvement?

I connected Lighthouse growth with my customer for IT staff augmentation for their online streaming project. I provided Lighthouse growth with my customer’s project specs, and then their team sent several IT engineers CVs. I filtered through the CVs for teammates who could deliver for my customers. I scheduled all the meetings with various stakeholders, including the project developer, the prospective engineers, and my customer. Then, I tested the engineers’ skill sets. After my customer decided on the talent they wanted to use, Lighthouse growth’s IT engineer began working on the project for my customer. 

What is the team composition?

Lighthouse growth provided 8–10 IT developers, but I mainly connected with Jakub (Co-Founder).

A former customer connected me to the Lighthouse growth leadership when I started my own business in the IT sector.

I began working with Lighthouse growth in July 2021, and our engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Finding the right talent is a huge challenge for businesses, especially streaming IT engineers who are in huge demand in the US. Lighthouse growth helped my customer fill their development gap — they saved time going through Lighthouse growth instead of searching for IT developers via LinkedIn. My customers are happy with Lighthouse growth’s developers because they’re professional and deliver on time. 

How did Lighthouse growth perform from a project management standpoint?

Lighthouse growth has excellent project management; they delivered on time and within budget. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Lighthouse growth’s talent pool distinguishes them from their competitors. There are about 600 US-based IT developers in high demand and charge high prices, but Lighthouse growth’s talent is comparable to US developers and more budget-friendly. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can’t think of anything for Lighthouse growth to improve. Honestly, I wouldn’t be working with them if there were any gaps in their work. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I’d advise customers to have their project vision as carefully detailed as possible. Then, Lighthouse growth’s developers can use their expertise to execute the project from the client’s vision.

I'm lead for SAP Commerce Cloud team. We run projects across Baltics and Nordics for both B2C and B2B segments.

Due to demand spikes at various projects we have had to accomodate additional resource GAP.

We searched for a trusted partner, who could help us finding competent resources for a short-term and long-term allocations.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Jakub and the team provided first candidates in a very short timeframe. All candidates have been competent in the area and showed great results during delivery.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Jakub was always available and assisted with the new resource onboarding to our organisation and processes.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
