Every engagement is a fixed price for a defined outcome. You agree the scope and the number before any build starts, so there is no day rate, no meter running, and no open-ended bill at the end. Day rates reward slow work, so we do not use them. Before we quote a build, we run a short paid scoping sprint. It turns your requirements into a fixed-price plan you can hold us to. The spec is yours to keep whether you go ahead with us or not, and if you do, the sprint fee comes off the build price. What a project costs depends on what you are building. A small internal tool or narrow MVP runs over a few weeks. A full product or platform runs over a few months. As a rule of thumb, we come in around a third of what a traditional consultancy would charge for the same outcome. A small senior team with AI agents does the work a larger team used to. If the scope changes along the way, we price the change first and you decide before we do it. Finish faster and that is our margin to earn. Underestimate and we absorb the cost, not you. Prices exclude VAT, and the cost of our AI tooling sits inside the quoted price, with nothing passed through to you. Payment is staged against progress you can see. A deposit gets us started, then the larger payments land as you sign off a working demo, pass user testing, and go live. Terms are Net 7.

Weeks, not quarters. That is the short version, and it holds because a small senior team with AI agents ships what a larger team used to take months over. Every build opens with a scoping sprint, usually two to ten days. We define the problem, shape the solution, and hand you a fixed-price plan. From there, the clock depends on what you are building. A micro build, say a single workflow, an internal tool, or a narrow MVP, takes two to five weeks. Step up to a standard build, a full MVP or a lightweight SaaS product, and that is five to ten weeks. A larger multi-user or AI-powered platform runs three to five months, and a complex enterprise system with deep integrations runs four to six. If you have an existing build that has gone wrong, a rescue can be anything from a one-week triage to an eight-week rebuild. We do not run two-week Scrum sprints. Work moves in a continuous Kanban flow, so the next most valuable thing is always in progress rather than waiting on a ceremony. Every fortnight you see working software in your own staging environment, not a status deck. You can try it, react to it, and change direction while that is still cheap to do. These ranges are honest estimates, not padding. We commit to a date in the scoping plan and then hold to it. If anything threatens the timeline, you hear it early, not at the end.

AI is how we build, not what we sell. Every engagement uses AI agents, but they speed the work up, they do not make the calls. The split is simple. Agents carry the repeatable work: code scaffolding, test generation, infrastructure setup, documentation, and routine refactors. A senior engineer owns everything a wrong answer would be expensive on: the architecture, the product decisions, the review, and the final judgement. Agents draft, humans approve. Nothing reaches production without a senior person signing it off. So this is not vibe coding, where you prompt a model and ship whatever comes back. The output is engineered. It is built to documented rules, tested, delivered as infrastructure as code, documented as it is written, and ready for technical due diligence. We use frontier models from Anthropic, OpenAI, and Google, and a named human stays accountable for every line that ships. The test we hold ourselves to is plain. Would we put our name on this? If the answer is no, it does not ship. And the acceptance gate is yours, not ours. Nothing goes live until your own people confirm it does what we agreed. The reason we work this way is that it lowers your cost and speeds up delivery without lowering the standard. You get senior-quality software, built faster, at a lower price, because the machine does the mechanical work and experienced humans do the thinking. That is the whole model. Everyone on a LevelFive delivery team is senior, with at least ten years of hands-on experience. We do not hire juniors and mark them up. We do not put your budget towards someone learning on the job. A typical team is small. An engagement lead owns the outcome and your account. One or two senior builders do the engineering. A product designer owns the experience. Work that used to need a project manager, four engineers, and a tester now runs with three senior people and AI agents doing the heavy lifting. Our two founders sit behind that. Between them they have spent 45 years building and shipping software, including nearly two decades running one of the UK's best-known digital product consultancies through three private equity deals. On smaller jobs, they often build it themselves. A small team raises a fair worry. What if someone leaves mid-build? We plan for it. The work is documented as we go. The infrastructure is code, not knowledge in one person's head. More than one senior person knows your build. If someone moves on, the next picks up from the same state you will run it from yourself. You are never one holiday or one resignation away from a stalled project.

You own all of it. Not at the end as a parting gift, but from day one. The code sits in your repository, the platform runs in your own cloud account, and the intellectual property transfers to you as each paid milestone completes. By go-live you own everything: the code, the infrastructure, and the documentation. We build on standard, well-known stacks. There is no proprietary LevelFive framework in the middle, no perpetual licence, and no hidden dependency that only we can maintain. That is deliberate. Staying with us should be a choice you keep making, not a corner you are backed into. Handover is a real part of the work, not an afterthought. You get a clean, documented codebase, automated tests, a deployment pipeline your team can run, and notes on the decisions that mattered. We walk your people through how it is built, how to deploy it, and how to maintain it, then hand over every credential and access key. After go-live you get a 30-day support window for the how-does-this-work questions. If you would rather we stayed close for longer, an optional retainer is there, sized to taper as your team takes over. There is no default renewal and no open-ended maintenance lock-in. The point is simple. You can run and grow what we built without us, and keep us around only if it is genuinely useful to you.
