Leonard Steel Limited are bespoke fabricators of structural steel in Ireland and the UK with a state of the art fabrication facility in Monaghan town. We have been operating since 1976 and have grown from a small company  to what is currently a large and well known structural steel company throughout Ireland and the UK. Our recent work has required us to travel as far away as California & Morocco.

The company came from humble origins when we started back in 1976 as a manufacturer of digger buckets and general engineering works. Our first big job was in 1977 when we manufactured our first portal frame building  for St Macartan’s College in Monaghan. In 2002, major reconstruction was carried out at the premises. The workshop was re-equipped with modern steel fabrication machinery to deal with the evolving market and demand for large scale structural steel fabrication.

Our drawing office was re-equipped in 1998 and uses both Strucad and Tekla drafting software which are directly connected to the Ficep 903 Saw & Drill Line, the Voortman Plate Machine and the Voortman Saw. This enables the speedy transfer of information between the drawing office and production area.

We’re continually investing in our facilities and have recently expanded the Spray Shop and installed a Stud Welding Line. Both facilities increase our speed and efficiency enabling a more swift on-site service for our clients.

We have worked on a variety of sites in Ireland and the UK, both erecting steel for new buildings as well as making alterations to existing structures. We have also completed some unusual jobs such as manufacturing the basket that is used for cleaning the Spire in Dublin’s O’Connell St and designing, manufacturing and installing the seating for Google’s auditorium in its Dublin headquarters.
