BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

I am a Marketing Communications Coordinator at Alera Group and work closely with our Marketing Lead on Salesforce Marketing Cloud implementation, training and content creation.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire Learning Curve Consultants?

We hired LearningCurv to serve as an expert as we migrated off of our pre-existing marketing automation platform and onto Salesforce Marketing Cloud. After our initial implementation engagement, we have continued our relationship as we continue to develop new solutions.

What were your goals for this project?

Our goal was a seamless transition from our previous automation platform to Marketing Cloud and a consultative look at how we could improve our data and processes while migrating to a system with new capabilities.

How did you select Learning Curve Consultants?

We selected LearningCurv based off the recommendation of our Salesforce Account Executive who made the introduction.

Describe the project in detail.

Our national company has an incredibly complex data model with multiple instances of Sales Cloud as well as non-Salesforce CRMs. The challenge was to migrate all of our existing data and mandatory content from our previous system into Marketing Cloud, re-train all of our in-house Marketers and sync up the data connections using MC Connect.

LearningCurv owned the set-up of MC Connect from our various Sales Cloud and Financial Service Cloud instances. They have also helped us to develop new solutions like dynamic templates and journeys which we didn't previously utilize.

Our team took the lead on in-house training, content creation and provided feedback on how we needed our org. to be structured from a content and data model perspective.

What was the team composition?

We were assigned a Project Manager, Marketing Cloud Consultant and Success Manager on the LearningCurv side. From time to time the LearningCurv team has brought in additional resources from their Sales Cloud team to assist on projects with cross-over.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

One specific challenge that we had initially was the inability in our previous system to create a dynamic template that would allow us to populate an email template with different brand stylization.

LearningCurv helps us to develop AMPscript code that will dynamically pull in branding which saves us time and energy when sending on behalf of different firms across the nation with local brands.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The workflow between our teams has been very effective. Our teams both use Basecamp which has been a great resource where all of our resources and tasks can be shared in one place.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Our project manager has been incredibly impressive and professional in the ways that he has communicated to our team various hurdles and successes. We appreciate his attentiveness and overall attention to details about our unique challenges and goals.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Our initial implementation goals took longer to accomplish that we had previously anticipated (however, some of this was due to the complexity of our org., unforeseen issues and lack of responsiveness from Salesforce's support team).

Additionally, it would be great is LearningCurv teams were more cross-trained in various Salesforce solutions rather than only specializing in one app or tool.
