BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the growth marketing manager at Whereby, a video meeting app. It was created to compete with Zoom and Google Meet.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Leaf?

We needed new leads for a different product we were working on. The product is a video call API that allows users to embed our video call technology directly on their website.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Leaf provided digital marketing services. After a discovery phase, the team kicked off our PPC and SEO efforts from scratch. They mainly managed our ad campaigns on Facebook and LinkedIn, but they also worked a bit on our Google Ads. Additionally, the team reached out to leads on LinkedIn on our behalf. They also made suggestions on how to optimize our landing pages. 

What is the team composition?

We worked with 3–4 teammates, including one dedicated to our Facebook ads, another person working on LinkedIn ads, and an executive who reported our analytics to us every month.

We spent $10,000–$20,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

The project lasted from January–April 2021.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They gave us analytics reports regularly, and their presentations were superb. They provided us with a lot of dashboards and walked us through them. Each dashboard detailed each specific action, its impact, and the strategy behind it.

How did Leaf perform from a project management standpoint?

Their project management was excellent. We communicated via Slack.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We appreciated their detailed analytics.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could improve on the creativity of their ads, which were a bit weak at times.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Create ads internally, then leave the day-to-day management to them.
