I needed help converting my paper from Word to LaTeX.

What was the scope of their involvement?

The LaTeX Lab handled a full Word to LaTeX conversion for my academic research paper. The source file was a .docx document, and the main deliverable was a clean, submission-ready .tex file.The scope included converting complex tables, mathematical equations, and in-text figures/images while preserving the original formatting. They also handled the reference list conversion, formatting all citations accurately according to the required style.The final LaTeX file was structured and compiled without errors, ready to be uploaded directly to Overleaf for journal submission.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The .tex file was delivered quickly and compiled without any errors on the first try. I submitted it directly to the journal and had no formatting-related revision requests. Honestly, they saved me hours of figuring out LaTeX on my own.The journal didn't come back with any LaTeX or formatting issues, which honestly was my biggest worry going in. The editor just accepted the .tex file as-is. No back and forth, no "please fix this" emails. That pretty much said everything about the quality of the conversion.

How did The LaTeX Lab perform from a project management standpoint?

The turnaround was fast and required minimal back-and-forth, which was important given my submission deadline. They delivered within eight hours — they promised within 72 hours but did it way earlier.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They had a clear system without any confusion.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Not really anything major. Maybe a quicker update midway through just so I knew where things stood, but the final delivery was on time, so it didn't really matter. The converted LaTeX file was clean and ready to go, so I had no complaints about the actual work.
