Daily Credit Card Reconciliation: 

• Process daily Bank of America VMC data extract and upload into our AS400 system
• Manually pull daily American Express data extract and upload into our AS400 system
• Create a store list from BOA extract for transit balance workbook
• Create a credit card reconciliation comparing VMC and AMEX data to AS400 data daily to only show reconciliation exceptions by stores
• Posting those exceptions to our general ledger in the AS400

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

With the help of Lake Turn we were able to take two monthly reconciliations that were a very manual process and automate both reconciliations. The reconciliations that were only done a month end and took approximately five days to complete are now processed daily and are done with little human involvement.

The project management was exceptional and above and beyond what I experienced with other development companies. Lake Turn management handled all hurdles and issues that we encounter in our approximate 11 month project that we originally thought would be a four month project. 

The extend time on the project was not due to any issues we had with Lake Turn but internal issues we had and they were very understanding and patient while we worked them out.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The management and knowledge was very impressive. They were able to help us figure out many work arounds due to hurdles we had internally. Again the patience that was shown during a time that we were frustrated internally was a surprise.

Are there any areas for improvement or something LakeTurn Automation could have done differently?

None that I can think of, I was extremely impressed with Lake Turn.

This project was designed to create a system where mail print operators could perform a single pass print with both graphic and postal information printed together. Prior to this system, the operators would have to print the graphics in one pass, then print the address information on a second pass.

The project management style was very detailed and transparent. All facets of the project outline were directly related to design requirements.

Prompt service and willingness to work with minor requirement changes during the project as we discovered more detail through testing the initial application versions.

Had to make sense of varied reports pulled from our own financial accounting systems and compare to reports from bank. As checks are written, the developed robot compares the bank supplied 'cleared check' report to those written and reconciles. Those checks not reconciled should match what our system reports as "outstanding". Similar activities for ACH debit reconciliation: matching/reconciling posted "ach checks" to ACH debit information provided by the bank.

• End of month reconciliation takes hours instead of days using the information provided by LakeTurn.
