Get a real-time quoteCustom Access, SQL and Python applications
I build custom software for businesses whose workflows are too complicated for spreadsheets or off-the-shelf apps. My work includes Microsoft Access applications, SQL databases, Excel and reporting automation, data matching, validation and integrations.
I work directly with clients to understand their process and find mistakes, delays and unnecessary steps. I have over 25 years of experience building business applications using Access/VBA, SQL Server, Oracle PL/SQL, PostgreSQL and Python.
Examples from my career:
- A configurable reporting and integration platform managing more than 60 complex workflows.
- Replacement of four vendor reports, eliminating $14,000 a month in recurring reporting costs.
- A memorial order application tracking around 40 steps, with sequence checks, notifications and Word document generation.
- Warehouse application recovery, stabilizing core imports and operational workflows.
Historical project values: $10,000 to $200,000. Current rate: $150/hour. Initial minimum engagement: 40 hours ($6,000).
