Thirty years ago, KD Kanopy invented the scissor-action, pop-up canopy. The event was a milestone and marked us as an innovator in the industry. Since then, KD has continued to lead the field with new products and designs.

In the early 90s, KD Kanopy introduced the patented STARSHADE®, which revolutionized the look of portable event tents, providing an alternative to the square, four-post canopy tent. Your product or service truly became the bright light of the show when housed within this striking design. For 20 years, until our patent expired, we were the sole provider for single-pole tension canopies. Though some of our competitors have copied our design, none can match the quality of our original STARSHADE.

Precision Frames and Fittings

All of our high-quality innovative products use the latest materials and technologies, making them reliable and easy to use. Our fittings have no metal-to-metal contact points. You are guaranteed smooth operation with no binding. On the rare occasion when you may break a component of your KD Kanopy, replacement parts are available and easily replaceable.

Quality is Part of Our Package

KD’s quality control is of utmost importance to us. This is why we do all of our screen and digital printing in-house in our own 12,500 square-foot facility. We have state-of-the-art digital presses and our silk screeners are craftsmen who take pride in their work. Our skilled seamstresses work with many different types of materials in varying weights and sizes.
