I'm a yoga teacher and have a website called Yoga For The Ages. I teach at a yoga studio, and I also teach private students in Arlington County.

What challenge were you trying to address with Katherine's Websites LLC?

I hired Katherine (Principal) to build a website for me so that I could improve my yoga business and attract more private clients. I teach real yoga that originated in India thousands of years ago, and I primarily focus my teaching on older people. My goal wasn't to build a huge business; I just needed a way to communicate with potential students by directing them to my website.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

First, I gave Katherine my requirements on how I wanted the website to look, and she worked with me to pick out the photos I wanted for the website. From there, she built the website from scratch on Wix.

She has also helped me set up my Facebook business page and upload some content on my pages. We've worked together on generating keywords for SEO. Katherine's also offered PPC campaigns and Google Ads services.

I reached out to a friend who has a media company because I thought she might have some good web designers, but she didn't. However, she did a little research and came up with Katherine's name. I contacted three other web designers from Wix before I settled on Katherine; coincidentally, she also worked on Wix.

How much have you invested with them?

I've spent around $750 on the project so far.

What is the status of the engagement?

Our working relationship began in March 2022, and she had my website up and running by the middle of April 2022. Currently, our engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Katherine has built a website I love and have received wonderful feedback on. Everybody who has visited my website loves it, and many of them are people in the yoga community. Users love the layout because it's simple, and the print is large enough, which is great — especially for my older students. I appreciate that Katherine works with me to get what I want.

How did Katherine's Websites LLC perform from a project management standpoint?

She's brilliant at project management and has met every deadline. Moreover, she works within my budget, and her work is affordable. We communicate through Slack and email.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The other web designers I spoke to sent me an email about what they would do and at what cost. Meanwhile, Katherine sent me a professional proposal. She's incredibly talented and organized with her work.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I have zero complaints because she's one of the best in the industry.

Any advice for potential customers?

Make sure you meet Katherine's deadlines because she'll meet yours. Everyone should do their end of the task properly; that way, you'll run a smooth project.

She took the time to listen and discuss what I was looking for and delivered on it, while adding creative touches along the way. Also, as a solopreneur, I found Katherine's breadth and depth of knowledge about all things digital marketing particularly useful.
