I was a carrier sales representative at a third-party logistics company that served as the middle person between truck companies and wholesale customers.

We needed help moving freight.

What was the scope of their involvement?

J&R Transport Inc. was one of our carriers. They moved freight for us. They’re a Canadian carrier, so they’d do a lot of freight deliveries between the United States and Canada.

I worked with 1–2 people from their team.

How did you come to work with J&R Transport Inc.?

When choosing a carrier, you need to book a consistent number of loads with them. I looked at their load history and saw that they’d done a good amount of shipments. I called them up and decided to work with them from there.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent over $200,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in January 2020, and we wrapped up in March 2021.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

They were my best carrier, and I have nothing but good things to say. The team was super reliable and consistent. We never had an issue. When I got promoted, I made sure they went into good hands.

How did J&R Transport Inc. perform from a project management standpoint?

I never really had to keep track of them because they were so reliable. They did most of their booking online. The loads would be dispatched, tracked, and delivered without me having to lift a finger. It was all very easy.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Overall, they moved an impressive amount of freight. It always went smoothly. Moving a lot of freight can easily go wrong but it never did with J&R Transport.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, they were great.
