Office

We are a small team of architects and interior designers who enjoy working together, efficiently and purposefully, with fun and humor. We love solving problems and creating value. The young, art-loving and culturally charged atmosphere of our Maxvorstadt district inspires us every day.

Our office is a shop on the beautiful Amalienstraße in the center of Munich's university and museum district, the "Maxvorstadt". We work paperlessly, on fast PCs with ultrawide screens and the latest programs. Nevertheless, we often sketch by hand, the classic way, on rustling sketch paper with a 6B pencil, and write down our ideas in royal blue with fountain pens.

We stand for a systematic, conceptual approach to work in all phases of the work, from the first draft sketch to completion. Regardless of whether it is conversion and renovation, interior work, adding an extra storey, converting a roof or new construction, from a single-family home to a city hotel with an underground car park. One of our specialties is building on existing structures and monument protection.

In 2002, after working in well-known architectural firms, Jakob Bader became self-employed and founded the office Jakob Bader Architektur.

In 2010, Angela Mayring, née Leidl, became an indispensable part of the team. She studied interior design at the Munich Academy of Fine Arts and pursues her projects with wit and tenacity, precise down to the last detail.

Rosa Lindenblatt joined the team in 2021. She studied architecture at the Munich University of Applied Sciences and is an innovative entrepreneur herself. She drives her projects forward with experience, clarity and calm.

The team also includes working students, interns and freelancers. We all enjoy the trusting collaboration with great clients and outstanding craftsmen and engineers. Our attitude: building together instead of against each other.
