I’m the VP of MHCare Medical, one of the largest health solutions providers in Canada. We’re the primary personal protective equipment supplier across the nation.

We needed an accountant to help us file our taxes.

Jaberson & Associates is our accounting partner. They started the project by reviewing our financial situation, income statements, tax credit eligibility, and so on.

The team provides various accounting services. They help us plan our finances, file our taxes on time, claim our tax credits, write off certain expenses, and so on.

Additionally, Jaberson & Associates assists me with my personal taxes.

What is the team composition?

Our main point of contact is an account manager. We’ve also worked with a senior associate whenever anything needed to be escalated.

The project started in January 2011, and it’s ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Prior to working them, we filed our own tax returns and always ended up either owing money to the government or getting minimal returns.

Now, Jaberson & Associates ensures that we’re getting the tax breaks we’re qualified for. We’ve also been able to write off some of our expenses. 

Overall, the project has been very successful at helping us save time and money.

How did Jaberson & Associates perform from a project management standpoint?

Their project management is powerful — they’re transparent when it comes to what they’re working on and when they’ll be finished. 

We use Google Sheets to manage the project. The spreadsheet details their progress, submission deadlines, what they need from us, and so on.

In terms of communication, we use phone calls and email.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Jaberson & Associates is a very knowledgeable team — they make sure that we’re only paying for the taxes we should be paying for. Their expertise has truly allowed us to maximize our savings.

No, they’re honestly a solid team.

Be very transparent with your financial situation. The more you disclose, the more, the better the team can do their job.
