I am CTO of Cyance, a digital marTech Platform focused on analysing web behaviour to discern buying intent in a b2b context

For what projects/services did your company hire J. B. Gorski, and what were your goals?

Jarek joined Cyance focused on helping us manage our large data lake, and the batch processing of data from a variety of sources. In addition Jareks experience with data analysis was valuable in ad hoc reporting and data analysis

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Jarek was working with Cyance prior to my joining, so I am not familiar with the selection process at the time

Jareks main responsibilities was to

• Operationally manage the data batch processing, putting in place data quality data checks, liasing with data providers to resolve issues
• Working with development team to develop new features in our data pipeline
• Working with our product and customer support team to analyse ad hoc queries

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The platform has operated successfully for the period in question

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

Jarek has worked remotely - working in Agile fashion using Jira as the main work management tool, and Slack / Zoom as ad hoc comms

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They have always been enthusiastic to take on new challenges, and has strong data knowledge. Jarek has also regularly suggested improvements to our data and processes.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Jarek can improve his communication and also estimation of tasks, where he does not feel he has sufficient information to make a good estimate.
