Get a custom proposalCoding agents with human oversight
Ithaca Builders is a Brazilian software company based in São Paulo. It runs an agentic development platform: coding agents build and maintain the software, while the client's team supervises the work and reads the code before it goes to production. Every session is logged, from request to result.
The platform stops at level 4 of the autonomy scale Dan Shapiro proposed: coding agents execute, humans supervise and the team sets the limit. It is not a dark factory.
The same platform handles a new product and a system already in production. On a legacy system, coding agents read the existing code and documentation first, the replacement is built beside the old system, and the switch happens in parts, each one checked before it goes in.
Dr. Consulta modernized its subscription platform, a system with eight years in production, using the platform, with its own team supervising. Compared with the period before the modernization, infrastructure cost is 75% lower, and one representative feature went from about two weeks to up to three days.
