A sales company hired ISG Partners to provide recruitment support. The team was responsible for sourcing candidates, screening prospects, and moving suitable candidates through the client's hiring process.
ISG Partners failed to deliver on their promises, and the engagement ended up being a waste of money for the client. The team didn't provide any qualified candidates or create a hiring pipeline. ISG Partners lacked accountability, were difficult to work with, and had poor project management.

Disappointing recruitment service that did not justify the cost
We hired the company to support our recruitment needs and help us identify qualified candidates for open roles. As a mid-size business, we were looking for a partner that could provide reliable sourcing, clear communication, and strong candidate quality.
Unfortunately, our experience did not meet expectations. The service felt overpriced for the level of support and results delivered. Communication was inconsistent, follow-through was lacking, and the candidate quality did not justify the investment. We expected a more hands-on and professional recruitment process, but the engagement felt under-managed and inefficient.
There were some initial conversations that seemed promising, and the team appeared to understand the basic hiring need at the start. **What did you like least about them?** The main issue was the poor value for money. The service was expensive, but the results, communication, and overall client experience were below what we expected from a recruitment partner.
They should improve communication, candidate screening, transparency around deliverables, and overall accountability. If pricing is going to be premium, the service level and results need to reflect that.
For a mid-size company with real hiring needs, this was a disappointing experience. The recruitment support was not strong enough, the service quality was poor, and the cost felt difficult to justify based on the outcome.

Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.
The scope of work was to provide recruitment support for our company, including understanding our hiring needs, sourcing qualified candidates, screening prospects, communicating progress, and helping move suitable candidates through the hiring process.
The expected deliverables included a clear recruitment strategy, consistent candidate sourcing, regular updates, qualified candidate submissions, timely follow-up, and professional communication throughout the engagement.
Unfortunately, the project did not meet expectations. Several promised deliverables were either delayed, incomplete, or not delivered at all. Communication was inconsistent, follow-through was poor, and the overall attitude from the team felt unprofessional when concerns were raised.
Rather than taking accountability or working collaboratively to resolve issues, the experience became frustrating and difficult to manage. Overall, we expected a more reliable and professional recruitment partner. The lack of delivery, missed commitments, and poor communication made the service feel overpriced and disappointing.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
There were no measurable outcomes that demonstrated progress or success. No meaningful deliverables were completed, no qualified candidates were provided, and no measurable hiring pipeline was created. The project did not produce any results we could use. From our perspective, the engagement failed entirely.
Promises were made but not kept, communication was poor, and the service provided no measurable value. Based on the lack of delivery, the experience felt highly misleading and like a complete waste of money.
Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?
The project was poorly managed from start to finish. They did not deliver items on time, and in many cases, promised deliverables were not delivered at all. Communication was inconsistent, follow-up was weak, and there was very little accountability when issues were raised. Their response to our needs was disappointing. Instead of addressing concerns professionally or taking ownership of missed commitments, the team was often dismissive and difficult to work with. Overall, the project lacked organization, transparency, and basic follow-through.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
There was not much that we found impressive or unique about this company. The initial sales process made the service sound more capable and reliable than it turned out to be, but the actual experience did not match those expectations. Overall, giving them our money became a major regret. The lack of results, poor service, and missed commitments made the engagement feel like a very poor investment.
Are there any areas for improvement or something ISG Partners could have done differently?
Yes. They could have communicated more honestly and clearly from the beginning about what they were actually capable of delivering. The project needed better management, more transparency, stronger follow-through, and a much more professional attitude when concerns were raised. They also should have set realistic expectations instead of making promises that were not kept. If they were unable to deliver the agreed-upon recruitment services, they should have acknowledged that early, offered a clear resolution, or provided a refund. Overall, almost every part of the engagement could have been handled differently.
