history

The welding company was founded in 1926 by Mr. Matthäus Irion. The Hahn family acquired Matthäus Irion GmbH & Co. KG in 1978. From 1986, the mechanical engineer Eberhardt Hahn ran the company, and in 2018 the two industrial engineers and flight engineers Bernd Fleissinger and Stefan Tschirk took over the welding company.

From 1979, the business area developed into the manufacture of transport and storage containers, primarily for the automotive industry. From the beginning of the 1980s, the company also began supplying the conveyor technology industry with components for their systems. Today, IRION serves customers in the automotive, construction, agriculture, logistics, medical and food technology sectors with sophisticated welding and milling combinations in quantities of 30 to 1,000 pieces.
