The launch was completed and tested. We are in the middle of launching to the public. The app was completed with all requested features, with additional added mid-development. All features are working based on the requirements.

The team was excellent. They stayed in constant communication, with a response always within 24 hours if not sooner. When we were tight to timelines they ensured that our project was prioritized. We had a great experience. I would suggest if anything ensure that they spell check their work. The app worked wonderfully but from a brand perspective spelling and wording are important and we needed to catch spelling or typos.

Project management was good and on time. I had requested some changes and renogotiated the deliverable time lines, however the team were greatwith their estimates and completed changes quicker than I expected. The team were always happy to hear my feedback and were open to the suggestions I was making. They also helped advise more practical ways of reaching specific outcomes I was after and made suggestions on 3rd party featurers which greatly saved on cost.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The team are very pleasant to work with, they are humble and patient. I very much enjoyed the flexibility of the team also. There is quite a large time difference in the countries we live in, however we worked very well together to find convinient times that suited all parties.
I recall onetime the product manager met with me at 12am his time as it was convinient for me (i did not know it was that time in his country until after the meeting). This was just one of many examples of how the team went above and beyond to support me.

Are there any areas for improvement or something iQlance Solutions could have done differently?

Overall I am very happy with the team and will continue to use IQlance for further development in the future. The only suggestion I have would be to continue to challenge the way founders are thinking about the their app. If there are better ways to design or build the application then to voice their opinions as the experts and their experience as these great suggestions can save founders thousands...

As we got closer to designing and building an app, we had to outsource the right company. We wanted to build the app in a scalable way so we wouldn’t have issues later on.

What was the scope of their involvement?

iQlance Solutions has developed an application from the ground up. Initially, they worked closely with us to understand how the concept worked and draw out the design.

The app is designed to change how advertising and digital content are delivered to users. The majority of the money we make is actually given to the consumers. Users can download the app, set up their account, and use it whenever they visit a business that works with us. They can scan a QR code while waiting to pay for whatever they’re purchasing at the store, and we send them an ad with a dollar value framed around it. Afterward, they can use that dollar value towards their purchases, even if the ad has nothing to do with that merchant store.     

We designed the app ourselves, and iQlance Solutions built it for Android and iOS in the native languages of both platforms. They’ve also provided website development services; we’re still in the process of finalizing the website.

We work with three teammates: a salesperson, a customer service representative, and the lead developer.

How did you come to work with iQlance Solutions?

I did my due diligence and looked at several companies in Europe, the US, and Canada. Ultimately, I felt most comfortable with iQlance Solutions. Their pricing was right, their attitude was really welcoming, and we liked their previous work.

The contract covers roughly $45,000 of what we have to get done. They haven’t charged us any penalties for missing deliveries.

We started working with them in March 2022, and our relationship is ongoing.

They’re understanding and accommodating, even with the time difference.

How did iQlance Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?

The developers are in India, but they’re on time with the deliverables and milestones. Our main point of contact regularly checks in with us. If we need anything, they’re always there to ensure we’re on track.

We didn’t want to deal with project management tools, so we’ve stuck to communicating through a WhatsApp group chat and emails. We’ve also used Google Drive and our own servers.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They respect that we’re old school and accommodate us on that. Overall, iQlance Solutions has been very kind, patient, and understanding.

No, there’s nothing they could improve.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Do some research before you find a company. If you’re specifically looking to build an app or website, understanding how the vendor operates and gets things done is in your best interest. You might get into the project with the impression that you can get it done with a certain amount of money, but you might be far off; people don’t really understand how much work is involved.

We needed help with developing a centralized administration panel for connecting 250 websites with a single database. Our existing administration panel had a lot of issues because many websites were controlled by it.

What is the scope of their involvement?

iQlance Solutions developed a new administration panel for us from scratch using Laravel. Initially, we provided them with a technical document to allow them to access our existing administration panel, and they took it from there.

I’m the head of product for my organization, which creates software for financial literacy education in the US.

We needed software development resources to continue the development of an existing custom asset that we have. Their was work to be done in our software’s code base.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We had a few interviews with their developers, and there was one that we really liked. After negotiating a contract, things got going quickly within 1–2 weeks. Their developer now works with us in a staff augmentation model, reporting directly to me. He’s running through our backlog using Ruby on Rails.

The solution is a multi-user education platform. Students can submit ideas and proposals to improve their schools in the same format that platforms like Instagram users. Afterwords, students can vote on which proposals they like the best and think should receive funding.

From a backend perspective, the system is built in Ruby on Rails and has an integration with our CRM.

We just work with one senior developer, plus their account executive.

The software developer we’re working with is at a pretty high level of integrity. He’s honest and wants to keep busy, so if he’s ever running out of work, he utilizes his time very effectively, always reaching out to ensure he’s being as effective as possible.

We handled our own project management, using Slack and Google Meet for communication.

What was the scope of their involvement?

The challenge with this project was that we couldn’t provide direct access to iQlance, so their team had to think outside of the box to develop web and Windows applications. Our focus was around the third-party APIs, which their team helped integrate. They also built caching techniques around the API to speed up the site’s performance. 

Along with that caching system, iQlance designed the UI of our site from scratch using the .NET framework and an SQL Server database.

It has been a good experience working with their developers. They have in-depth knowledge, and their turnaround times are pretty quick. Anything we request gets delivered right on time, and the team will put in extra hours if needed. They have exceeded my expectations, and I have been 100% satisfied because we have gotten exactly what we needed.

They have done pretty well, and we’ve been very satisfied with their project management. We haven’t had any problems with the budget and timelines. They’ve recently switched from Basecamp to ClickUp, and we communicate via Zoom.

What we find most impressive about them is their in-depth knowledge of programming.

One way for them to improve their services is to have the project managers be more involved.

Make sure to lay out all of your specifications in depth to minimize the amount of back-and-forth communication. Having meetings twice a week with the developers will speed things along.

What was the scope of their involvement?

iQlance Solutions is developing an app for us, including backend development and customer-facing applications. We created technical requirements starting from business requirements, which involved its technical architecture, the design, and the creation of the apps and a backend management tool. They’re currently doing production support in terms of QA, debugging, and ongoing feature development.

Regarding the product features and functionalities, the app allows parents to get dedicated safe and secure transportation for their children. The flip side of that is that we also have drivers who then utilize a dedicated app to do the appropriate pickup and delivery of those kids. Additionally, the backend management tool enables us to live monitor and manage those rides and the overall business.

They perform well in terms of project management; I know these types of projects can be complex because everything is linked, and one thing impacts another, but given the multiple time zone changes and the tool they’ve implemented, they’ve done an excellent job.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We searched for local online suppliers and tendered the project to approximately 6 shortlisted vendors. We were looking for a company that were supportive of our vision, provide and affordable price for a startup business and were flexible in there delivery. We also wanted a company that was highly recommended and reliable as this was our first venture in the Tech World.

We had a series of kick-off meetings to discuss our goals and objectives. We provided the team with sample wireframes and design notes. They incorporated our feedback and delivered many versions of the product with various designs to choose from. Technologies used included: IOS, Android, Swift, Kotlin, Twillio, SendGrid etc..

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The project was quite detailed and completed within the year that we had planned for. We only recently launched and are just coming to market but have recevied great feedback during the beta testing phase.

The project manager was easy to deal with and supportive of all feedback. They were timely in their completion of feedback and if ever clarification was required, they were open to calls and feedback to ensure the customers focus was maintained.

Overall, the delivery of the product was greater than my expectations. The UX and UI design was really impressive, and they delivered something better than what I set out to achieve.

Anything I asked for was always delivered so I really cant say that there were areas for improvement.

I’m the president of a digital shipping and logistics marketplace.

What challenge were you trying to address with iQlance Solutions?

The transportation industry typically operates like a pendulum; sometimes there would be a significant amount of driver resources available, and then the pendulum would swing the other way around and there would be an insufficient amount. It’s a challenge for both shippers and transport carriers, so we needed a website and mobile app that could address this challenge.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We started by having meetings with the iQlance team and providing them with all of the information required. We also supplied them with our desired colors and schemes, which they then incorporated into the designs and screens that we sat down to review together.

iQlance then went on to develop a website and mobile app that could allow drivers themselves to connect directly with the shippers. This solution enables shippers to have a repository from which they could select the drivers for the services that they need. 

Their team built a website where our customers, the shipping community, could sign up and register with some driver solutions. Once we’ve accepted their application from the administrative side, shippers could go into the website and create job postings for products that need to be shipped or moved out. 

The other component is the iOS and Android mobile app, which iQlance integrated with functionalities to allow drivers to upload their licenses and CVs for registration. Approved drivers have the ability to set up their account on the app and specify the type of license that they possess and what skillsets or capabilities they have. 

Postings made on the website get pushed out to all of the drivers who are registered on the mobile app, and the drivers who match the criteria could either accept the job at the posted rate or counter-offer until they’re locked in for that job.

What is the team composition?

There was a team lead assigned to the project along with various individuals responsible for the design, the app development, and the website development. They added in a few more people as we went, and we worked with anywhere from 4–8 people throughout the project. I dealt closely with the owner of iQlance, but Shruti (Project Manager) was my main point of contact. 

How did you come to work with iQlance Solutions?

I found iQlance through Clutch. I read customer reviews on their profile, met with their owner, and established a very good rapport during that first meeting. From that point on, I felt comfortable that we could start the project with excellence. 

How much have you invested with them?

With all of the changes that we’ve made, we’re in the neighborhood of $115,000 CAD (approximately $90,000 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

We entered into an agreement in February 2019. At around October–November 2019, we asked iQlance to pause the project as we wanted to make changes of our own. We resumed development in January 2020 but had to restart from scratch to integrate the changes that we wanted, and they were gracious enough to work with us through that. We’re still working together.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’re still in the middle of development, but iQlance allowed us to test both the website and the application with several users. Those same users have been very appreciative of the images, screens, and user flows of the tools. They’ve given positive feedback and have found the UI/UX to be user-friendly, intuitive, and easy-to-follow. 

How did iQlance Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?

On our side, we’re not technical experts, so anytime we wanted changes or needed something done, iQlance would absolutely engage in feedback. They would give us their perspective on the pros and cons of some changes, and more times than not, we would end up going with their expert advice. In that respect, our interaction is very good. 

Up until the pandemic, our communication was done face-to-face. We’ve since shifted to using Teams, Zoom, and conference calls.

What did you find most impressive about them?

iQlance is very receptive to feedback and very nimble as far as working with the changes and challenges that we’re going through. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

iQlance usually takes up the requirements, goes away to do the development work, and comes back with a finished product for which we will provide feedback. I think it would be better if we were more involved in the development phase rather than having them do the changes after it’s all done. This would be more ideal with our setup as well since we have partners who have their own ideas and vision for the final product. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

My advice is to create a regularly scheduled meeting and an agenda list. Also, be more strategically involved through each step of the process as opposed to handing everything over to iQlance and waiting to give feedback once everything’s done.

We had clients in Germany, and one of them wanted to develop an Android and iOS app. As a result, we needed a partner that was capable of delivering on both platforms.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

After an initial design phase, we sorted out all the financials and contract work, and we agreed upon the app’s conceptual model. Based on our requirements, the team built what we needed for the app, including wireframes. After that, we had a pretty decent idea of where the project was headed, and we started to look forward to the implementation phase. iQlance Solutions did everything from scratch.

Additionally, they assigned someone to give us guidance from a product perspective, specifically on how to deploy and run the app later on once the platform had its own user base. We’re in the final phase of our project, and we’re scheduled to end by next week.

What is the team composition?

I was connected to about five people from iQlance Solutions throughout the process, including software developers.

How did you come to work with iQlance Solutions?

I came across iQlance Solutions after some online research. I connected with three suppliers, and iQlance Solutions made the most promising offer for implementing our requirements catalog. On top of that, they had the most holistic approach to accomplishing our requirements. It wouldn’t have been okay for them to deliver the app and leave us on our own. They also considered what would happen once the app was launched.

How much have you invested with them?

I was given a milestone-based plan in the beginning, with a total of $24,000 CAD (approximately $19,000 USD). That payment plan has pretty much pulled through, and we only extended the initial budget by about 10% for some extra content on the app.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with iQlance Solutions in May 2021,  and it’s ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’ve delivered test versions to our client throughout the project, and the first one was delivered around week three. Our client has been really happy with most of the steps iQlance Solutions and our company took. There was one issue that they wanted us to review and extend a bit beyond what we had planned initially, but that went fine. Overall, once we’re done with the app, I hope that we can have future projects with iQlance Solutions.

How did iQlance Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?

They have professionally supported us throughout the process, and they’ve been very transparent. We have biweekly meetings with either the development team or the product team.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’ve been great at adapting to our changing needs, which allows them to easily and quickly solve our issues in an outstanding period of time. They’re also proficient in both Android and iOS development.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, they have no areas to improve. We had minor issues with Basecamp, but that was taken care of after they switched to Microsoft Teams.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

Have your requirements ready and know what you want to achieve at the end of the project. To be specific, it’s important to be clear about how your product should behave. After all, reaching a common understanding with iQlance Solutions is the best move you can do.
