Innowise Group provides staff augmentation services to a recruiting company. They’ve identified candidates with Java, iOS, Android, Golang, and other development skill sets for the client’s end customers.
Innowise Group has identified numerous qualified candidates, three of which the client has contracted for their customers. The team has responded to requests promptly and proactively asked for feedback. They use Microsoft Outlook to communicate via email.
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this
client over the phone. Below is an edited
transcript.
BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m an account manager for a recruiting company. We bridge the gap between IT companies and freelancers.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Innowise Group?
We were having trouble identifying local developers for our clients, so we engaged Innowise Group to help us source candidates from other regions.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Innowise Group provides us with staff augmentation services. When a client reaches out to us with a job description, we send the details to Innowise Group, who searches their internal network for qualified candidates. Once the team identifies a qualified employee, they send us their CV to present to our end client. Then, our end client reviews the CV and requests to interview them. If both parties feel it’s a fit, we contract the candidate for our client.
We lean on Innowise Group to identify candidates with various development skill sets, such as iOS, Golang, Android, Java, and Node.js. Once we contract an employee, our end client handles the onboarding and training processes.
What is the team composition?
We work with a business development manager who presents candidates to us.
How did you come to work with Innowise Group?
I’m unsure how we found them; it could have been on Clutch.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent around €150,000 (approximately $164,000 USD).
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with Innowise Group in February 2022, and the partnership is ongoing.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We’ve contracted three employees from Innowise Group so far. We don’t have concrete success measures, but they always respond to our requests with good-quality candidates.
How did Innowise Group perform from a project management standpoint?
Our end clients manage the resources from Innowise Group, so we’re not very involved in the project management process. However, Innowise Group occasionally asks us for feedback from clients, which we share as needed. We use Microsoft Outlook to communicate via email.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I’m most impressed by Innowise Group’s responsiveness. They rank in my top three when it comes to staff augmentation partners.
Are there any areas they could improve?
We had a bumpy start due to a miscommunication regarding an NDA, but we’ve discussed it, and now everything is fine.

Innowise Group augmented a SaaS company's technical team to assist in migrating authentication from IdentityServer3 to Azure AD B2C. The project included advanced PowerShell scripts and claim data migration.
Innowise Group' resources successfully produced the PowerShell scripts, achieving client satisfaction and enabling the company to conduct a test in an isolated sandbox and alpha environment. Overall, the team excellently collaborated despite the timezone differences and language barrier.
The client submitted this review online.
BACKGROUND
Please describe your company and your position there.
I'm CIO/CTO of a small NZ based company providing SaaS solutions to the Temporary Traffic Management (TTM) industry.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
For what projects/services did your company hire Innowise Group?
We engaged Innowise for Team Augmentation to assist myself in migrating authentication from IdentityServer3 to Azure AD B2C.
SOLUTION
How did you select this agency and what were the deciding factors?
I looked at several providers and Innowise stood out as being responsive with their communication, good value-for-money and had a good pool of staff with a range of skills and expertise.
Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.
The project involved a series of advanced PowerShell scripts which read existing user data from IdentityServer3 database (ASP.NET Identity model), then created the appropriate Users and Groups in Azure AD B2C, and finally migrated claim data from previously mentioned DB to an application DB.
Describe the recruitment process in detail.
I was provided a CV for a potential candidate, which I reviewed and assessed and then an opportunity for an in-depth interview with candidate was provided. After that I was given the option of selecting this candidate, or to be matched with another candidate.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
Can you share any outcomes from the engagement that demonstrate progress or success?
The candidate from Innowise was able to produce the PowerShell scripts which I required to my complete satisfaction. We were able to test in a completely isolated sandbox environment, and then in our alpha environment.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
The time-zone difference did cause some difficulties, and the "language-barrier" required some patience, but I never felt frustrated and with only a little perseverance, we were able to successfully collaborate via instant messaging (chat) and video conferencing.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
I was impressed my the work ethic and attitude from the successful candidate and also management. They were genuinely interested and passionate about the project, creating a positive and constructive relationship. This was somewhat unexpected and did impress me very much.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Not particularly.

An IT services outsourcing company has hired Innowise Group for staff augmentation. They provide front- and backend developers, DevOps specialists, and business analysts in three projects for end clients.
Innowise Group has been able to provide experienced developers in many technologies quickly. One end client is so satisfied with the team’s performance that they’ve extended the project. Innowise Group communicates effectively through Slack and uses various project management tools well.
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this
client over the phone. Below is an edited
transcript.
BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m an executive at an IT services outsourcing company. We help clients to work with remote teams.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Innowise Group?
There was a lack of skilled workers in the market, and we needed developers. We have around 10,000 developers through our partner network, and Innowise Group is one of our partners.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Innowise Group provides us with development resources. Currently, we’re working with them on three different projects and have three teams running where we handle the project management. Innowise Group focuses on business analysis, DevOps, and front- and backend development.
For our latest project, the client had planned the product and had a full backlog, and Innowise Group is implementing the requirements. The client uses a heterogenous technology stack, and Innowise Group has provided teammates with skills in multiple technologies. We have developers with Kotlin and Java expertise for the backend and Vue.js for the frontend.
For the frontend, the client had already designed the product. Innowise Group has provided a regular developer and a Vue.js lead to help us. Additionally, a business analyst helps our clients facilitate requirements.
What is the team composition?
We work with nine teammates from Innowise Group: a senior developer, a senior business analyst, three senior backend developers, two senior frontend developers, one regular frontend developer, and a lead frontend developer.
We started working together in May 2022, and the engagement is ongoing.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Innowise Group has provided us with skilled developers. We measure their success by closely monitoring the satisfaction of the team and the clients through biweekly interviews. In these meetings, we ensure that Innowise Group understands and properly implements requirements. One of our clients is super satisfied and wants to extend the project with Innowise Group until the end of 2023.
How did Innowise Group perform from a project management standpoint?
The project management is on our side. We’ve integrated them into our Slack and use Microsoft Teams for our regular meetings and scrum events. In terms of project management tools, we use Jira and Confluence for one project, and in another, we use Azure DevOps.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Innowise Group’s biggest strength is their ability to provide excellent skilled developers fast.
Are there any areas they could improve?
When working with different cultures, there are always different expectations. We would like to see more proactivity from Innowise Group and more responsibility. For example, they could express when requirements don’t make sense or should be done differently instead of doing things because the end customer says so. While the senior teammates do that, they could improve this overall.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Working with outsourcing agencies is a people’s business, so treat people like people, not robots. Whenever humans work together, there will be friction which can only be solved by talking to each other. Therefore, I advise talking to the team to understand your cultural differences and make the best out of the engagement.
Moreover, it’s not all about the price. Some people think outsourcing equals cheap resources, but that’s not what it should be about.

A smart indoor greenhouse manufacturer partners with Innowise Group to support them on several development projects, including building a mobile app, Shopify website, and ESP32 firmware.
Thanks to Innowise Group, the client's web app, mobile app, and firmware work smoothly. They are also flexible with the timelines and payment terms, which the client appreciates.

BACKGROUND
Please describe your company and your position there.
I'm a co-founder, and I oversee software development.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
For what projects/services did your company hire Innowise Group, and what were your goals?
We needed a development firm that has various expertise across multiple technologies e.g. app development, web development, Shopify development, ESP32 firmware development. We lacked expertise in all these areas.
SOLUTION
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We worked with them on a previous project, where they excelled. For that project, our internal tech team were quite impressed with their project management and project scoping skills, and tech development expertise.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
We have a smart , indoor garden that uses hydroponics. In the indoor garden there's a ESP32 that has firmware. This firmware controls environmental items in the indoor garden such as the LEDs, the webcam, and nutrition and water flow. The firmware takes instructions from our API/backend while the end-user could use the mobile app to configure the environment for their indoor garden but also get readings on temperature , water level, humidity etc.. For ESP32 we use micro-python + C For Backend -> NodeJS Shopify development
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
Currently it's about a dozen.
Backend/nodejs developers
frontend developers
a designer
a PM
a BA
QAs
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
Since our smart indoor greenhouse started off as a smaller project we initially didn't go with Innowise. Instead we went with two other development firms that were used to working on smaller projects. Unfortunately, those firms failed and created more issues for us. We then decided to put Innowise on the project, pretty much starting from scratch, and we haven't had the same issues we experienced previously with our software (for our website, app or hardware). Main point is everything works smoothly.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
When we first started we were meeting daily to get them acquainted with the project. They took our requirements and created the necessary stories in Confluence to make sure both sides were on the same page. Once approved they created estimates. We now meet twice a week, and once they go over all the deliverables they create Loom videos so that the boarder team could review the results. Communication is daily over Skype and over a few defined groups.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Their professionalism, punctuality, and the ability to be flexible and add the needed resources (and vetted resources) quickly
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
They've been flexible with payment terms , timelines and our needs. They're a first-class organization.

client over the phone. Below is an edited
transcript.
BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CEO of Traxi, a transportation software company.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Innowise Group?
I needed someone to develop my software.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Innowise Group did every aspect of developing my web app, including QA and U/UX design — they're a one-stop-shop. The app is for my clients; every user gets the same database and the same application, which is a fully IoT platform that connects to GPS units or personal volume sensors. It's for autonomous vehicles, truck drivers, bus drivers, and smart city drivers to collect or take care of the invoice that this IoT opened.
It's a ready-made application that we modify according to the needs of our clients. In the end, it will be shelf software where you can self-install it.
What is the team composition?
I'm in contact with one developer from their team and a client manager.
How did you come to work with Innowise Group?
I found them on LinkedIn, and from the beginning, Innowise Group gave me what I wanted.
How much have you invested with them?
We've spent $100,000 with them so far.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in March 2021, and the engagement is ongoing.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
I'm a very satisfied client with their high-quality work and ability to deliver exactly what I want through a very professional approach.
How did Innowise Group perform from a project management standpoint?
They're very flexible, and I can speak directly to the developer as much as I want. Regarding tools, we use Trello and Google Meet. Overall, the client manager is very helpful and professional.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They're professional, and I know I'll get what I need.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I don't think there's anything they can improve on — they're doing a great job.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
I recommend working with them; engaging with their team is very easy because people can talk to the developers and the client manager in a second.

Innowise Group has worked on three products for a voice-over IP company. They’ve built a web RTC softphone, a mobile version of the application, and a new telecommunications platform from scratch.
Thanks to Innowise Group, the client has delivered the highest quality products they’ve ever made. Internal stakeholders are exceedingly satisfied with their work — the projects have been an enormous success, and the team is committed, proactive, and prompt. Customers can expect a great partnership.
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this
client over the phone. Below is an edited
transcript.
BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CIO of a voice-over IP company that serves all 50 states.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Innowise Group?
We wanted to create new telephony-related products for the business space. In particular, we required frontend resources that would allow us to build and scale these new products more quickly, with higher quality and more features. We already had a high-functioning engineering team, but it was small. We didn't have enough resources to pull off the product development we wanted. Therefore, we were looking specifically for React developers that were good with JavaScript, TypeScript, and Figma for the design components.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
We’ve done many projects with Innowise Group. In particular, we’ve worked with them on three main products and deployed one of them. First, we’ve done a web RTC softphone, which is actually a software development kit (SDK) that can be embedded into other applications. It provides state-of-the-art softphone functionality for our users and includes an address book, contacts, call history, SMS and MMS text messaging, and probably one of the best call center phone functionality available on desktops.
Also, we’ve done a mobile version of that application; it’s nearly complete. Finally, we’re in the process of building an entirely new telecommunications platform with Innowise Group. For these projects, the combined effort includes both their resources and the resources on our side. However, they’ve done nearly 100% of the user-facing frontend work.
What is the team composition?
We have four people working full-time for us.
How did you come to work with Innowise Group?
They saw me on LinkedIn and randomly reached out to me. I get many requests from people on LinkedIn, and I ignore almost all of them. However, I happened to reply to Innowise Group’s message because we were in the market for outsourced development services. Afterward, we started working with them.
How much have you invested with them?
At this point, we’ve spent over $100,000, which will be well over $200,000 by the end of 2022.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with them in April 2021, and our relationship is ongoing.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The work they do is beautiful. It’s well-conceived, well-designed, and well-implemented. These are by far the best products we’ve ever delivered to customers. Also, Innowise Group has delivered reasonably quickly. We’ve never met anyone in software who has overestimated the time they need, but they’ve been good at measuring how long it’ll take to complete something.
They do code reviews among themselves and are very committed to their work. They frequently come up with ideas, questions, concerns, and comments to improve the product. They’re genuinely wonderful partners. Overall, they’ve allowed us to compete with much larger companies. We wouldn’t be able to do this without them.
How did Innowise Group perform from a project management standpoint?
Occasionally, there are some language and time zone challenges. However, it’s expected because we’re outsourcing resources that are eight hours ahead and speak a different language as their native tongue. In general, those issues have only been a minor annoyance.
We use GitHub for project management and resource control, Slack for communication, and Google Meet for daily standups.
What did you find most impressive about them?
One of their most wonderful traits is that they all work together as a team. Moreover, this is the first time we’ve been part of a successful outsourcing project. When we’ve been involved with other companies, it’s always been a painful and disappointing experience. However, this has been a spectacular outsourcing endeavor.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I wouldn’t level any complaints that aren’t broadly applicable to other software development resources. Practically every staff person in software development underestimates how long a task will take, and they aren’t different in this regard. Nonetheless, I wouldn’t criticize them on that note because I’m also a software engineer, and I also do it.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
To do any kind of outsourcing, you need somebody who understands the project from the business and technical sides. Otherwise, you’ll probably be disappointed with the results.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this
client over the phone. Below is an edited
transcript.
BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I'm a project manager at a development company.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Innowise Group?
We had many features we wanted to implement on an internal tool, and we didn't have enough internal developers at that time. Therefore, we decided to reach out and onboard three additional developers who could handle the tasks, so we didn't need to use more internal resources.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Innowise Group helped us add features to an internal code generator tool we use for development in customer projects; it's a classic Windows desktop application. The team worked on C# development and with .NET Framework 4.8. The code generator software is a headless C# application with no UI; it uses Ampler for parsing input files and a handwritten generator framework to create C++ code, which is then executed on an embedded platform.
The team received detailed definitions of how the C++ code should look. They adapted the code generator and added examples. Then, we reviewed those in Azure DevOps together with the C# code so that we could do code reviews on both the written code and the generated code. The C++ code generation works by parsing model files with Ampler, building an internal subtree, and generating the C++ code out of that tree.
Later, we also onboarded Innowise Group for UI development. They used the Telerik library for the graphic frontend for the software developers to design the model and then the code generation from this graphical model to the input files for the code generator.
What is the team composition?
We worked with three developers from Innowise Group.
How did you come to work with Innowise Group?
They contacted our CEO to see if we needed external resources. He then reached out to me and told me he had a good company that could do the work we needed. From there, we started to work on the details with Innowise Group.
How much have you invested in them?
We spent roughly €400,000 (approximately $421,000 USD).
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked together from July 2019–June 2022.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Innowise Group was able to implement every feature we asked them to do. They also wrote the unit test for the features we asked for, so from that point of view, we were satisfied.
We gave them half the workload of an internal developer, not because they worked slowly, but because we had additional work to do. I had to provide them with more detailed specifications than I would have an internal developer. I also had to do more detailed code reviews and additional integration testing, plus give them feedback. If I missed something in the specifications, it wasn't done, and I had to go back and tell them. One of our internal developers could have done the task without an additional round. Still, at that 50%, we had a positive output because Innowise Group had a lower cost per hour than an internal developer. In the end, our engagement worked out well.
Overall, I was quite happy with the work they did. Although we ended the project for internal reasons, I would gladly work with Innowise Group on future projects.
How did Innowise Group perform from a project management standpoint?
Deadlines were sometimes a bit of a problem, mainly because I gave them really detailed specifications at the start, and then during the process, my specifications got less detailed, and the team took longer. However, we readjusted and gave more detailed specifications again, so Innowise Group met the deadlines again.
We used the latest version of Azure DevOps for sprint planning. We had two-week sprints where I added tasks to the board for developers to pick the next task; they decided between them which developer was doing which task. Once they completed their work, they had to push the changes to GitHub, and then I would do a code review in Azure DevOps.
In addition to that, we had a short team call twice a week using Skype. They could write me Skype messages anytime they had questions or problems so that we could solve them, which worked quite well.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I was impressed with their quick onboarding. We had two personnel changes during the project. One developer left the company, the other moved to another project, and Innowise Group quickly provided us with replacements. Moreover, they informed us of this ahead of time, and a replacement was ready before the previous developer left so that they could provide training to the new resource. They would work in parallel for a week, where the new developer was productive and took over a few tasks.
Additionally, Innowise Group didn't charge us for the time a new developer spent learning the project. From our point of view, the new resource was effective immediately at no additional cost, which impressed me quite a lot.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, they delivered what I expected from the kind of contract work we asked them to do.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
I advise having one person in charge to detail specifications, review the word, and coach Innowise Group's developers. That setup will allow you to get the most out of their workforce.

BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CEO of Zero Beta, an Israeli-based company dealing with FinTech and developing an algorithm for the stock market.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Innowise Group?
I'm using them to outsource development work.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Each developer I’ve hired through Innowise Group is in charge of a different project. They’re managing the source code, doing the ongoing development based on the roadmap, and delivering all the tickets that our team opens.
Regarding technologies, they’re using Python as the main tool, but it's synced with others like MongoDB, for example, and integrating with the frontend, which is React.
In terms of processes, they don’t start development from scratch; they receive source code as a starting point and take it over from there.
What is the team composition?
We’re working with two backend developers from Innowise Group.
How did you come to work with Innowise Group?
I’m familiar with a manager from their team; I had worked with him before he went to Innowise Group, so I trusted him for this new project and decided to move forward with them.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent around $100,000 with them so far.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in October 2021, and our collaboration is ongoing.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
I’m delighted with their work; it took some time to train them and ensure we were all on the same page, but once I found these two developers, they were engaged and understood the project's purpose and our goals.
Overall, they’re fully committed to the work.
How did Innowise Group perform from a project management standpoint?
Project management is good; I’d be more pleased if their estimations were more accurate, but overall, it's okay. Regarding tools, we're managing the tasks through Notion, and that's how we communicate.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their developers are great at communication, and their managers are as well. If I have any issues, they take immediate action to solve them.
Are there any areas they could improve?
They need to engage an extra manager to oversee the full scope of projects and be more engaged in product roadmaps.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Make sure that the candidate you choose is the best fit for the task. Before getting into the technical, hands-on stuff, it’s important to understand the work environment. They need to know how the work will be carried out and make sure that the solutions they’re bringing in terms of work style fit the project.
