Please describe your company and your position there.

I head Koru UX Design, a User Experience design agency specializing in user research, strategic design and frontend development of enterprise applications.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire Incubyte Datatech Pvt Ltd, and what were your goals?

Incubyte was developing a financial service-based solution for one of their customers. We partnered with Incubyte to meet the UX design requirements. The customer needed a smart tool that unified different processes spread across online and offline systems, and at the same time, simplified the agents’ lives with high standards of usability.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Earlier we had worked together on a POC for another customer. So when the opportunity presented, Incubyte approached us to work with them on the UX aspect of the project. Additionally, we have also worked with the founders at their previous company.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

The project had vast scope as the solution had to be built from scratch with some parts still overlapping with the existing system. Incubyte gathered requirements and shared initial inputs and feedback from the Subject Matter Experts with us. The clear and elaborate requirements shared gave us a clear understanding of the project.

We presented them possible design solutions which went through multiple rounds of iterative design and testing till we created a solution that served the user's needs and was feasible to implement. Through Incubyte’s expertise in the domain, they had insightful inputs and accurate feedback, using which, we were able to meet the design requirements in a relatively short time.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

We were interacting with the Product Manager from Incubyte who was receiving and lining up the requirement from multiple customer stakeholders. The work was efficiently planned and managed throughout the engagement with the Product Manager making sure we never lose sight of the project goals.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Through a strong collaboration with Incubyte, we were able to create a smart primary solution that could be used with some tweaks to serve across different domains. The solution proved effective in multiple use case scenarios and was efficiently diversified to create a system with a simple and intuitive experience.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

The Incubyte team efficiently managed incoming requests from multiple stakeholders at the customer’s end. Their team has a clear understanding of the design inputs and system requirements. They were required to make choices on the go as the solution was being conceptualized from scratch. We used Jira, Basecamp and Zoom for managing the project with a smooth workflow.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Incubyte is very forthcoming and has a no bullshit approach. They are direct and quick with feedback and facilitate a strong coordination for product design team to work efficiently with the development team. Their team had deep insights into software craftsmanship and practiced a high degree of discipline. It was great working with a vendor so highly committed to code quality.
