IM Manufacturing

I.M. Manufacturing Corp. began it’s life in 1945 as the Lebanon Shoulder Strap Company. Founded in Lebanon, Pa. by Nathan and Irene Smith and their son-in-law Bernard Mogetz, the original products were cotton bra straps and ribbon slip straps for the intimate apparel industry. In 1973 the operational name was changed to Lessco Products, Inc.

In 1978, Ira, son of Bernard Mogetz, became the company president. As the bra manufacturers began moving their operations to other countries for labor cost advantages, it became apparent that Lessco Products needed to widen its product line.

In 1985 the company was relocated to Richmond, Va. and the name was changed to I.M. Manufacturing Corporation. The product line was expanded to include all types of narrow fabric items for the medical, military, apparel and industrial industries.

I.M. Manufacturing employees about 17 people. Because of our size we are able to handle both small and large runs. Our customers range from large multi-national corporations to small independent businesses.

Each order receives personal attention from the reception of the purchase order thru shipping of the completed product. Ira has a 34 year reputation for honesty, reliability and dependability.
