I'm the CEO of the Marketing Institute Of Ireland. We're a 60-plus-year-old charity and the professional representative body for marketing and marketers in Ireland. We're a membership organization.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Idiro Analytics?

As an organization, we're on a transformation journey, fundamentally trying to digitize our processes. Internally, we wanted to revamp our data management systems. We didn't have a data architecture and wanted to integrate our different systems onto one platform.

We also wanted to dramatically improve the experience for our members. First, we wanted to capture first-party data. Second, our CRM system needed to be overhauled and replaced. Third, we wanted to provide new digital services to our members.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Idiro Analytics has been redesigning our data architecture, hardware, and software to deliver a more unified IT process. The team has commissioned Microsoft Data Factory for us and built everything on that platform, including its security. They've also integrated everything onto our website and its UX.

Idiro Analytics has created custom data models and algorithms to help us. We collect data from our members, and the team has built a way to report it. The data collection gives us a member engagement score, and we want to know every touchpoint and be able to assess that.

We have multiple pieces of software because we audited different SaaS products to deliver the services on this. For example, we have Google Analytics; Power BI, with a full reporting function that needs to be reported to us so we can manage; Metal as a Service, which runs our assessment tests; and HubSpot, connected to data capture, and Idiro Analytics manages it. There's also MemberPress on the website. There are multiple other pieces of software that they're all integrating for us.

Another critical component is knowing the interactions and how we can influence future interactions using that knowledge. Idiro Analytics has been helping us with that. They're building a system that can recognize our interactions with members and create a sensitive profile of each member based on their competence assessment test.

That allows us to audit our database and see where the market is strong and weak across different competencies. It also reports to us so we can influence our commercial and marketing strategies. There's a predictive component: providing services that match people's gaps in their competence skills.

Idiro Analytics is also predictively managing the database in terms of if people are not engaging, do they leave? If they engage with certain types of content, do they stay? There's predictive capability for future modeling of how we will look, and that's all in development as part of the program.

What is the team composition?

We've been in contact with four people. We work with their CEO, Aidan, who we can communicate directly with; Patrick, the relationship manager; Brian, the data architect and CAO; and Magali, who works on the UX side.

How did you come to work with Idiro Analytics?

We chose Idiro Analytics because they specialize in AI. They've been doing proper AI, not machine learning, since the late 90s when it started. We also liked that they had experience with organizations like ours.

How much have you invested with them?

We've spent around €250,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in July 2023, and the project is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Our confidence level is 90% plus, which we measure quarterly. Idiro Analytics has met every stage gate, and everything they've delivered has been on time and budget. That's been an essential component of managing our stakeholders and board.

We've had the usual challenges, but they've done what they said they would do. We don't have their enhanced expertise, and that's why we've brought them in. The integrated big data solutions are performing as expected and meeting our business objectives.

How did Idiro Analytics perform from a project management standpoint?

We have the usual challenges, but it's more about managing ourselves to keep pace with their program. We've been very clear on creating stage gates, investment levels, and board approval.

Idiro Analytics uses Trello to manage the project. We communicate via email, Zoom, Google Meet, phone calls, and in-person meetings.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Idiro Analytics has our respect because of their expertise and capability. We believe they have our best interest at heart. They explain why they're doing things, and their consultation is very reassuring in a process like this. They've performed excellently.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Idiro Analytics could cost less, but we get what we pay for. They do what we ask, and it's part of the plan.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Listen to them because Idiro Analytics knows what they're talking about. Be clear on your objectives at the start, what you want from the organization you're pitching, and don't change your goals. Working with Idiro Analytics is a great opportunity.
