Our Story

Hush-Hush is a distributed engineering team with people based in the United States, Ukraine, and across Europe. That structure has shaped how we work: direct communication, strong ownership, and the ability to collaborate closely with clients across both US and European time zones. Our team brings together engineers with backgrounds in data engineering, AI and LLM systems, backend development, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, industrial software, and QA.

Both. We often place a senior engineer directly into an existing product or engineering team, but we can also take ownership of a complete workstream or assemble a small dedicated team with QA support. The model depends on how much ownership, speed, and coordination the project requires.

We usually start by understanding how the system actually behaves in production rather than proposing a rewrite immediately. Our engineers are comfortable working inside mature codebases, undocumented integrations, large databases, long-running pipelines, and mixed cloud or legacy environments. We prefer incremental improvements that reduce risk while preserving what already works.

That is common in the projects we take on. We work with the client to identify the parts that are clear enough to build, the assumptions that need validation, and the technical decisions that are expensive to reverse later. This allows development to start without pretending every requirement is already known.

We use AI-assisted engineering where it improves speed, analysis, testing, or developer productivity, but it does not replace engineering review or ownership. We also build AI systems ourselves, including LLM pipelines, agents, RAG systems, and production integrations, so we are familiar with both the benefits and the failure modes of these tools.

Our team is distributed across the United States, Ukraine, and other parts of Europe. We structure teams around the overlap a client needs, including substantial US working-hour coverage when required. Communication, handoffs, documentation, and ownership are designed around distributed work rather than treated as an exception.
