What was the scope of their involvement?

Hughes Spencer helps us with our year-end accounts and provides financial consulting. I’ve given them access to our accounting system, so the team directly pulls information from that database. They then create an annual summary out of that. Finally, they prepare various tax reports and statements, which we then send to the government.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Throughout the engagement, we’ve had very few issues regarding the reports they’ve made to the government. Overall, the project has been successful — Hughes Spences has consistently fulfilled our needs.

How did Hughes Spencer perform from a project management standpoint?

There used to be a lot of papers involved because we started so long ago. Nowadays, we use email and phone calls. Since they have access to my accounting system, we don’t have to interface as much.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The value for money is excellent. Furthermore, the Hughes Spencer team is always willing to answer any questions I have with accounting, so I’m very happy.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Prepare as much information as possible. The project will be easier if you provide well-kept records.
