I’m an executive at a breastfeeding product company.

What challenge were you trying to address with Hub Strategic Communications?

We were launching a new product, so we needed an agency to develop a look and feel for them, considering our old and new products. We had a tight schedule, so we also needed someone to pick up the work halfway through and complete it in 3–4 months.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Hub Strategic Communications provides marketing strategy work for us, as well as photo asset development. They started with upfront positioning work, this meaning a round of interviews with stakeholders and senior leaders. After that, they did a complete analysis of that, came back with recommendations for strategies, brand voice, visual work, and guidelines for the brand.

Consequently, they started with the execution; they drafted copy toolkits for the team to have a fresh voice to talk about our products. In addition to that, they managed the photoshoots and are currently producing a video for us.

What is the team composition?

We’ve been working with Jessica (Brand Director), Reese (Creative Director), Mike (President), and a copywriter.

How did you come to work with Hub Strategic Communications?

They were referred to us by someone who had worked with them in the past. We chose them because they could take over the project and finish it according to our timeframes.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent around $700,000 with them so far.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in July 2021, and the engagement is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Internally, we’re delighted with their work. The final say will be when we launch our product.

How did Hub Strategic Communications perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re fantastic; their team is always on top of everything, including timelines and deadlines, and has great communication with us. In terms of tools, we use email, Google Docs, and Zoom.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We have a lot of people on our team, and I think that the job they did bringing all the necessary stakeholders along and making them feel included in the project is outstanding. It’s essential as a startup to have executives who want to be deeply involved in the output.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They changed our account representative, which created a bit of a bump in the road, but I know that transitions happen.

Any advice for potential customers?

Know what you want and have a clear brief to provide for them. If you explain to them your wants and needs, they’ll be able to deliver accordingly.
