Our Story

Hove Capital exists for the work most firms quietly avoid: the systems where an outage is measured in harm or money, not downtime. Mortgages, clinical records, payment rails. We are deliberately small. An engagement is staffed by the engineers who will answer for it, and the people who build the platform are the ones who keep it running. Three principles: answerable, engineered once, restraint. Fewer engagements, done properly, with a named person you can hold to every commitment.

Yes. UK GDPR applies throughout everything we build and run. We are Cyber Essentials certified and ISO 27001 certification is in progress. Every client is isolated to the account level: infrastructure, keys, credentials and tooling are never shared. Engineers are vetted to the standards of the institutions we serve, and we sign an NDA before the first call. For clinical and financial work we build the required controls in from the first commit rather than adding them later.

A fixed-scope discovery first, then a staffed build with weekly checkpoints. The same engineers stay on to operate what they built, so after launch you still have a direct line to the person who knows the system. Every change is reviewed and documented as we go, in plain language a person can follow, with a traceable history behind it. We reply within one working day, from an engineer, not a pipeline.

Finance and lending (fintech, mortgages, insurance, personal finance), health and medical (medtech, clinical), property and environment, and workforce and recruitment. If failure has a cost, it is the kind of work we do. We are a member of The London Institute of Banking and Finance.

The systems, controls and people behind them remain our responsibility. Service targets are written into every managed engagement: a 99.999% managed-platform uptime target, P1 acknowledgement within four minutes, and 100% change control. Platforms are instrumented and measured against those targets, patched and kept current as threats move. When something slips, the person who built it is on call.
