We developed a logistics solution tailored specifically for the transport industry. As an integral component of this project, we recognized the need for a robust blockchain system to facilitate seamless tracking, tracing, transparency, and instant settlement, thereby enhancing the overall management of trips. After thorough evaluation, we identified HD Labs as a leading expert in blockchain technology and engaged them to handle the implementation of the blockchain project. 

Upon receiving a reference regarding HD Labs' expertise in blockchain technology, we decided to approach them for the project. We had high expectations, and we were delighted to find that they not only met but exceeded our expectations.

I’m the former COO of Ampersand, a firm in the technology space specific to blockchain.

What challenge were you trying to address with Heuristic Deterministic Labs - HD Labs?

We hired HD Labs to manage our web and blockchain software for our markets. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

HD Labs designed and developed an e-commerce portal for user management and the actual management of the metal because we were creating a hybrid token. This was an asset-backed token coupled with a digital asset. They also created the integration of the trust, which was the ability for the customer to have access and visibility to retain their investment. All of this was integrated digitally. HD Labs handled the management of all the digitization related to the consortium of our project. 

The software was created from scratch, and they performed design work to bring our vision to life. 

What is the team composition?

We worked with three forward-facing individuals. We communicated primarily with Kasi (Founder) and two other individuals.

One of our founders had worked with Kasi before and was very impressed with his work. 

How much have you invested with them?

We invested around $50,000. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together between February 2018–January 2019.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

They managed to work with multiple third-party vendors seamlessly, and there were no major concerns about the software after using it. At the time we were developing this, third-party authentication was the benchmark we were working towards. Their work as it related to the development was spectacular. 

They were highly attentive to security and ensured that everything was built correctly and that we started on a good foundation. We intend to work with them on future projects. 

How did Heuristic Deterministic Labs - HD Labs perform from a project management standpoint?

In our space, it is typical for people to go over budget and get behind schedule, which they never did. A lot of the time, it felt like they were waiting on us. They finished technology when they said they would and did it for the amount of money we initially agreed upon. We typically communicated via Zoom. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

HD Labs had industry knowledge and knew who was producing and to what level they were doing that. They had a good sense of what technologies would be used in the future. We were very impressed with their ability to execute and to do so in a timely manner, which was something that wasn’t happening at that point.

We were skeptical about working remotely with a company, but those fears were quickly debunked because we ended up with the exact result we were looking for. They went above and beyond and took extra time to ensure everything worked properly. We were highly impressed that they gave us such high-quality work for the amount we paid.   

Are there any areas they could improve?

We’ve given them some feedback because we continued to work with them on other projects, but there is very little that we can come up with at this point, and that feedback has changed over the years. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be concise and clearly lay things out. Don’t assume they know what you want, and don’t leave anything up for questioning. If you don’t know what you want, ask them, and negotiate that price in your contract beforehand. Be vocal about what you don’t know because they’re going to give you exactly what you asked for based on what you told them.

I am an Executive for PM Capital. We sell fractional Gold. I am in charge of Operations and was the main person of contact for the development of our website.

For what projects/services did your company hire Heuristic Deterministic Labs - HD Labs, and what were your goals?

We are a start up, bringing a new business opportunity to light. We had a website that had been started by a local group, that just wasn't able to handle the volume of business we were seeing. They were too slow in development. We found HD Labs and quickly were able to not only get the current work done, but begin on work that helped us grow more than we expected. They were able to realize my thoughts for the site with ease. We had a need for a more robust site that could handle our ecommerce system.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We found HD Labs through a mutual contact. We were looking for a group that understood our immediate needs, and the time frame we were looking to meet. We were having some technical issues, and needed support with these as well as development on new features, HD Labs was able to meet all our needs.This

This was a full website workover. We basically had a site to give us leads, but needed it to process orders, take payments, process block ledger transactions and handle chats and requests.

We had a Dev Lead, 3 Senior Developers and 4 Junior Developers.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We were able to increase total sales by 60% with the changes to the site, and the ability to process orders and block ledger transfers more quickly.

We had daily communication via Microsoft Teams, and had twice weekly standups.

The team was not only able to meet our time constraints, but exceed them to allow for us to increase our work.

There were a number of issues, but most of them were due to our previous dev team, and HD Labs was willing to work through these.
