I am the co-owner of the company and we are a branding firm.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire Heléna Watts?

We hired Heléna to develop some fun slogans to put on our client's window while they were in the construction phase of their build. They are not opening until the summer so we wanted to generate some buzz for our client.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We hired her when we saw her poster design on her site. It was clever and short. We needed something that would catch our audience's attention quickly, and we believed she had a natural talent for that sort of thing.

Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.

We came up with a not-very-clever idea of what they would put on their window. Once the client was excited with the idea, we knew we had to hire someone to come up with something that matched the level of quality we were providing. Once we reached out the Heléna, we provided her with the idea and name of the company, and that was it, as we were still very early in our branding process. She then provided us with a visual mockup of what the sign would look like.

The tagline we were most excited about was "Cavities moving in? No worries, so are we." When we provided that to our clients, they were extremely happy with it, as were we.

We worked with Heléna Watts.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Our clients laughed out loud when we showed them the mockups. This was perfect as we wanted to generate a memorable sign for their audience, and they loved it very much, we all assume the general audience will too. We had been asking them to provide dimensions for the sign for a while, and it wasn't very important to them. Once we showed them this, they had the dimensions for us the next day.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Since it is just one person, the workflow is quick. We provided the details with a soft deadline, and then once they started, they had the work done in one night well before the deadline.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I believe Heléna Watts to be a very unique designer. The world was filled with boring designers who played it safe, but Heléna Watts stood out from most of them. She is young and new to design, but she reminds me a bit of Paula Scher, who I am a big fan of, which is probably why I am a big fan of Heléna as well.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I was recommended her from from the company who manages our branding.

I wanted to send out an e-mail to my customers who attended my retreat. I wanted to get reviews from them in return for 10% off my next retreat or a service from my site.

I worked with Helena Watts who is an entrepreneur that works alone.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

I loved the humorous style used in the headlines. I didn't like writing these things, so it was nice to have someone convey our message without us doing the work.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

I stated what I wanted and she delivered the e-mail in a few days.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I liked the punny style she used to get our audiences attention. I want Root Down to be about community and she writes in a style that is very warm and welcoming.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I don't think so. I was very pleased with the end result.
