HealthStar International, Inc. was incorporated as a Texas company in 1996 when its founders identified critical workforce needs for highly educated, highly skilled physical and occupational therapists by hospitals and clinics. Despite the top-notch training in the U.S., the demand by hospitals and clinics for physical and occupational therapists outpaced the U.S.-trained supply. Therefore, HealthStar began as a temporary staffing agency for these rehabilitation professionals.
