I’m the technical lead and vendor manager of a travel, transportation, and entertainment company.

What challenge were you trying to address with Hands Off Sales Tax?

We needed help registering for state tax in a couple of states.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We initially reached out to Hands Off Sales Tax and told them we were having trouble registering for a couple of states. They said they could help, so they sent me an email with instructions. We had to fill out a spreadsheet with critical information and agree to their terms. Once we did that, they took care of everything behind the scenes. Overall, it took them about a month to make everything run its course.

Another online service provider we used referred them, so we reached out to them for help.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They gave us all the deliverables they created and sent us the registrations, like the state tax registration documents. They also had a setup for enrollment for filing those taxes. We saw all the documentation and validated it was completed and functioning for enrollment.

When they finished, we were registered in the states we wanted to be, and they gave us back all the correspondence that came back from them.

How did Hands Off Sales Tax perform from a project management standpoint?

They completed the work on time, and we communicated through email. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

They were easy to work with and affordable.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I honestly can’t think of anything.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Try to get all your information together as soon as possible. The document they give you to fill out has a lot of information they need to do their job, so prepare it in advance. Otherwise, you’re stuck waiting.
