I’m the head of programmes at an anti-bullying nonprofit.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Gumption Design?

We run a lot of trainings and workshops all around England. We develop a lot of materials for that, so we hired Gumption Design for their printing and design services.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Their team handles all of our printing services. We let them know if we want a handout or booklet, and then they explain how it works and ask what materials, like paper or binding, we want to use. They’ve also made flashcards and other materials for our training workshops.

We will agree on a final version, and then their team will print them before delivering them to our workshop. We need those materials before the workshops are held, so they’re in charge of that delivery.

I’ve only worked with David (Founder).

How did you come to work with Gumption Design?

I believe we’ve worked with David on something before. When I started the role, I was looking for different providers and received a few quotes. Gumption Design was the most favorable. They seemed happy to make changes and work with our quick delivery times. We went through a procurement process before they started working with us on the training sessions.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent around $20,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

Gumption Design started working with the nonprofit in April 2017.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Our key metrics were having high-quality materials, logistics, and clear communication. Gumption Design has worked with us brilliantly. They’ve delivered different materials and products for us, dealing with any changes. The communication ran smoothly, and their flexibility was brilliant. Compared to other materials I’ve seen, their quality is beyond others.

Because of the pandemic, we haven’t had any face-to-face trainings. Gumption Design is holding on to the storage of documents for us.

How did Gumption Design perform from a project management standpoint?

From a project management standpoint, they’ve performed brilliantly. We’ve never had an issue with deadlines. Their team even performed quicker than they would’ve liked because of changes from our end. They never let us down. We generally communicate through email and phone calls.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I was impressed with their work quality, their flexibility, and their reasonable price.

Are there any areas they could improve?

To be honest, I can’t actually think of anything.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Tell them what you want and when you need it. They’re open to giving advice on the best ways to produce things. Take advantage of their expertise.
