What business challenge were you trying to address with the vendor?

The pandemic has disrupted people’s work life. Employees living far away or under quarantine are unable to work at the office; and the security of business data needs to be guaranteed when employees are working at different places. Haiyu cloud desktop ensure that employees can login and operate on the company's business platform on different devices conveniently, and greatly improves the smoothness of working in different environments and different time periods.

We chose them for their good service attitude, good technical expertise and excellent product performance.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement? 

They were responsible for R&D and provide virtualization infrastructure system platform, security cloud desktop system to make sure that staff in different places, working from home and on different devices can logged into the company's business system.

Adopt self-control desktop cloud technology, etc.

We cooperated through IT project construction subcontracting.

From the service provider’s company, what is the team composition? 

In our security cloud desktop remote work project, Haiyu has arranged  a team of 20 people for our company, which includes members from the management department, administration department, personnel department, IT department, R&D department, etc. They are responsible for project consultation, scheme design, project implementation, after-sales service, etc.

How did you come to work with the vendor? 

We decided the provider through public tendering & bidding evaluation. The provider has the advantages of excellent product quality and good implementation, and can solve many problems encountered in practice.

What is the status of this engagement? 

At present, the project operates normally and is in good use. Phase II expansion and upgrading construction is being planned.

How did the vendor perform from a project management standpoint?

The provider continuously provides us with patrol inspection and emergency support. Through professional services and good communication, our daily work becomes simple and effective. Before the adoption of this virtualization system, a team of 40 people is needed for operation and maintenance, but now it can be completed with only 5 people.

We communicate through face-to-face conversation, telephone, email, etc.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They had timely responses and a comprehensive plan.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Support, optimization, etc. of subsequent application products.

Our hospital is a class III level A general hospital directly under Health Commission of Sichuan Provincial, serving nearly 60 million people in the four provinces and cities of Sichuan, Chongqing, Yunnan and Guizhou.

A team of about 10 people, composed of members in different positions such as pre-sales, implementation and after-sales.

How did you come to work with the vendor?

We found the provider through online search. We chose them because they can provide all-round informatization construction services.

What business challenge were you trying to address with the vendor?

In 2015, our hospital began to use the virtualization and hyper convergence related products of Guizhou Haiyu Science and Technology Co., Ltd., and took the lead in replacing the similar foreign products with domestic ones.

At present, there are more than 200 virtual machines running in cross Hospital area super integration, DMZ area super integration and Intranet virtualization, which mainly support the important business operation of the hospital, including business systems such as his, PACS, traceability system, electronic medical record, doctor workstation, WeChat registration, etc.

Haiyu technology cloud computing products also adopt highly innovative solutions, such as super integrated extended cluster architecture and mutual disaster recovery and backup between two hospital areas. Up to now, the system has been running stably and reliably with high security.

Cross Hospital hyper convergence cluster configuration:

• 3 management nodes
• 18 X86 servers
• 1 set of high-speed network system

Configuration of  hyper convergence cluster in DMZ area:

• 3 management nodes
• 6 X86 servers
• 1 set of high-speed network system

Intranet virtualization cluster configuration:

• 3 management nodes
• 12 X86 servers
• 1 set of high-speed network system

The provider also provided VSIP virtualization infrastructure system V5.0, DCSS security desktop virtualization system V4.0, virtualization active defense technology based on key infrastructure, etc. 

The cooperation with Haiyu technology is the integration of information project construction.

What is the status of this engagement? 

At present, the project operates well and is still in progress.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

How did the vendor perform from a project management standpoint?

The provider performed very well. Communication was conducted through  weekly meeting, regular meeting and monthly work report with the project contact person, so as to supervise the provider to complete the task. During the process, the provider responds quickly and has no obstacles in communication.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Proactive and professional.

Are there any areas they could improve?

To improve the management dimension in the project operation, and actively optimize the project structure and cases.
