GDG is a Pittsburgh based full service architecture design firm that provides architectural design, interior design, design and development expertise, and other architectural graphic services. As the successor firm to Graves Architects, Inc., we have been servicing a variety of public, private, and non-profit clients since 1988. Our primary specialization is in educational facilities, parking garage facilities, and residential housing or urban development projects. We also take part in designing office and retail facilities, commercial building structures, entertainment venues, historical restoration, LEED certification, and government projects.

Through 20+ years of experience, we have developed a reputation for creative and cost effective solutions to design, coordination, and planning issues that meet a client’s budget, program, and schedule. This starts with paying great attention to learning and understanding our client’s needs. We then apply our experience to meet or exceed those requirements, offering recommendations and working with the client along the way, to ensure positive results.

Graves Design Group is generally the lead professional on our projects. However, we occasionally serve in association with or as sub-consultant to; other firms and general contractors, in design-build scenarios. These strategic alliances allow our teams to compete successfully for very large projects and developments. We are able to bring value to these teams with our professional design experience and continue to assist in meeting minority business enterprise (MBE) goals for certain projects through Graves Architects, Inc., which is Minority Business Enterprise (MBE)-certified in Pennsylvania and New Jersey and is certified as a SDB enterprise through the US Small Administration. MBE certification for GDG is pending.
