In 1985, Gordon Rogers left the design department of a construction company to start his own firm. He dreamt of designing innovative and beautiful projects but had seen firsthand the practical restraints placed on the construction industry. He founded Gordon Rogers + Company on the principal of pragmatism and the passion for his clients. The economic collapse of 2008 eventually took its toll and Gordon then joined Kitchell.
