I am the executive director at a housing authority that provides rental assistance for low-income families. 

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Godinez Solutions?

During the COVID-19 pandemic, we were trying to find a way for families to access our services even though our doors were shut — we also wanted to extend our organization's reach. We needed an online, web-based platform for our services. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Godinez Solutions developed an industry-specific website for my organization. I provided information about my organization and my requirements for the platform. Godinez Solutions then came back to me with a few design ideas that I provided feedback on. We repeated that cycle until I finalized the design. 

They then claimed a domain, developed the website, integrated an online application form, and set themselves up as the website hosts. The Godinez Solutions team also walked me through setting up new staff email accounts connected to the website.

I only worked with Timothy (Owner). 

How did you come to work with Godinez Solutions?

I found Godinez Solutions through Facebook. Someone else was looking for help with website development, and another user had recommended Godinez Solutions. I sent them a quick email requesting a quote. Godinez Solutions sent me back a very reasonable cost estimate that was lower than the ones I was getting from the other companies I’d reached out to. I had a good feeling about our partnership's potential, so I hired them. 

How much have you invested with them?

We've invested $1,500 in the website development and then allocated $700 per year for their website hosting services. 

What is the status of this engagement?

My partnership with Godinez Solutions began in November 2020 and it is ongoing. 

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Our online traffic is impressive — about 90% of our applications are from our online application form. We're even getting applications from out-of-state. Overall, the website saves us a lot of time because we no longer have to do manual data entry since all of our applications are filled out online. We can also now make announcements about our offerings on the website. 

How didGodinez Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?

Godinez Solutions had good communication. I generally communicated with them via email, and if I had any site issues, I called Tim and he would rectify the problem quickly. The project was done in a timely fashion; Tim completed the website in 2–3 weeks. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Godinez Solutions' dedication to following through on a project is impressive. Even now, a year later, they'll respond quickly to my requests, no matter how small. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

Godinez Solutions needs to be a little more conscious of the other team's time — Tim called frequently and sometimes interrupted my work. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Customers need to have a very open mind and let Godinez Solutions present some of their solutions. They're great at coming up with original ideas, and if I had been too exacting in my requirements, I wouldn't have been able to experience their creativity.
