which was established in 1995 by Karin Reinhold, a certified Translator & Interpreter (German <> English).
She earned her B.A. in Translation & Interpreting in Germany and her Master’s degree in Education
(ESL and Curriculum Design) from Simon Fraser University. She is an advocate for the professional
training and development of interpreters and translators and has trained many aspiring interpreters in
her capacity as Program Coordinator at Vancouver Community College. Karin is a past board member of Critical Link International (Secretary, Research & Development Committee), past President
of the Society of Translators & Interpreters of British Columbia, and is committed to the advancement of
the interpreting and translation profession in the social, legal and health care sector.
