Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the executive director for Ayuda Smiles, Inc. We facilitate and pay for dental care for veterans in need.

What challenge were you trying to address with G Whitcoe Designs?

We didn’t have a website, and we needed one.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Greg (CEO, Lead Designer & Photographer) built the website. maintains it, makes changes, hosts the site, and does whatever else we need. I just send him an email and tell him to add a new donor or grant or to make a change: he does it within the day. In the design process, the first mockup he sent was absolutely perfect so we went with it. The website lets us take donations, which is ideal.

Greg has also created a lot of graphics for us. He created a trifold, handout materials, and a video for a charity event.

I only worked with Greg.

How did you come to work with G Whitcoe Designs?

He was referred by another nonprofit, and I saw the website he did for them. It was beautiful, so I reached out to him.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent less than $10,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

The partnership started in March 2018 and is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Before, we had to literally go out and find veterans to offer our services. We’d go to events annually and collect about 40 applications every year. Now, with the website, we get 4–5 applications every week. Our intake process is completely streamlined and attracting veterans from outside of Tucson.

How did G Whitcoe Designs perform from a project management standpoint?

Greg is perfect. He’s responsive to my emails and calls. When we want to add a new donor or grant, it’s up on our site the same day I ask. There’s never a delay, and I never have to ask the same thing twice. I think he’s amazing.

What did you find most impressive about them?

He believes in our program. He also gets things done so fast. In my previous experience with other web people, I’d get no responses or wait weeks for replies. Greg’s a gem.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can’t think of anything he can do better. He’s just that good, honestly.
