Front Studio began in 2001 in New York City. A decade later Yen Ha and Michi Yanagishita merged the partnership with Art Lubetz, founder of Lubetz Associates in Pittsburgh, PA to form Front Studio Architects, LLC. The three principals met at Carnegie Mellon University.
The firm develops emotionally relevant projects that connect people to place by exploring the ambiguous, the infinite and the incomplete to bring about renewed sense of awareness of our surroundings.
