For what projects/services did your company hire Friedman & Associates, P.c., and what were your goals?

Tax related and inventory consultation. Reduce tax burdens and keep up with the ever-changing tax code

SOLUTION

Describe the engagement and overall scope of work in detail, including the stages of the partnership and any software or documents used.

Have been with them since the 1990's. Have helped me understand how to optimize my tax situation both wrt to how I dealt with inventory, amortization and acquisitions, but also just the general art of keeping up with the latest changes in how the IRA evaluates deductions.

How many resources from the Friedman & Associates, P.c. team worked with you, and what were their positions?

I knew of people who had worked with Irv, one of their lead CPA's who was highly recommended to me.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the engagement or general feedback about the services?

Number one, they kept us from getting lost in the dizzying arrays of tax code changes and permutations. Secondly, and perhaps more importantly, they helped us to advance plan inventory purchases etc in order to maximize any potential reductions in our firm's overall tax burden.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

I felt it was fine, seasonal-dependent. They were much more difficult to get a hold of in the early spring, for ALL the obvious reasons. But, generally speaking, given the time burden all these outfits are under pre-April, the back and forth we had with them was reasonable.

Largely worked with Irv Kriszenfeld and his executive secretary who have rotated throughout the years. There has been an occasional consult with some of Irv's associates peers but nothing substantive.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Other than hire even MORE staff from Mar 15 - Apr 15, not really. They do bring on extra people during that time frame, but they're not especially useful given the only kind of questions we have in that 11th hour  are of such complexity, that only people who have worked on our account all year are able to sufficiently grapple with them
